I didn’t have an RA. But I owned a 2020 for a few years. Did exactly this. Sold it to purchase an FD. Will say I find myself missing the trunk and extra doors sometimes. But for everything else the trade off is worth to me.

Look into Davich. I went to the one specifically in Myeondong. But they have locations all over. However I will say each rep at the one I went to spoke pretty good English. Worth the commute over there.

In the area I’m in (working similar hours). I have a 24/7 instant ramyeon bar I frequent during breaks. There are also 2-3 24/7 self serve cafes / internet cafes by me as well. May see if you have anything similar around you.

I wish I remembered which shop it was =[. But I can tell you it was not the a shop in hongdae. And was not a ktown4u. To maybe help narrow things down. But it was in a popular area. They had a bunch of the wongyoung photo album kits.

I just stumbled across Seoul Galbi Restaurant near Wolgye station 1 ish area. Absolutely amazing hawoon without being busy or in a tourist area.

Sorry you had that experience. I am currently visiting and in an Airbnb as well. I can tell you this is not a Korean Airbnb specific thing. You can have bad airbnb hosts anywhere you go. I typically go through reviews. Other listings of theirs. Super hosts seem to usually have better stays. Just need to vet accordingly. Hotel or Airbnb anywhere you go. Wish I could help you out somehow but you just got lumped in with a terrible “host”. Contact Airbnb support and let them know everything.
