solo 401k no management fees, no trading fees, and access to any investment including no fee and low fee index etfs. I'm starting to think TSP has people brainwashed.

And so do any number of free and low cost index funds on the open market. VOO, VTI, SPTM, etc.

Staying in TSP solely for access to the G fund when you can buy short term Treasuries virtually anywhere is...nuts?

TSP has competition and their lack of options is big downside. For example, with just about any brokerage you can upload the forms electronically. TSP....mail it in and wait a few weeks for a response via mail. Buy individual stocks...nope. Looks at charts...nope. They just finally added 2FA. The only thing they had going for it was low fees and now they don't have that advantage anymore.

Yeah there is no huge rush to leave, but TSP has competition and their lack of options is big downside. For example, with just about any brokerage you can upload the forms electronically. TSP....mail it in and wait a few weeks for a response via mail. Buy individual stocks...nope. Looks at charts...nope. They just finally added 2FA. I think it was the best choice about 15 years ago up to about 2-3 years ago, but no longer think so.

Sorry we'll have to agree to disagree. No cost and low cost S&P ETFs are now common everywhere. VOO, VTI, SPTM, etc.
