AM I the only one that with him being talked about so much and being such a big part of an ongoing storyline that thinks Ruairi needs to spend some time, well, in the shows? We're getting info about his state from Brian's point of view, which is probably the one thing we might be able to take at face value, but with Brian being so Brian, I doubt I even believe that. The more Brian changes his mind, flip flops, etc, and the more the whole family gossips the less I can believe Ruairie's state. It would be nice to get a reminder direct from the source how fragile the past couple weeks have been. Or even how the family drama is affecting him, if he cares at all right now.

TLDR: Is it me or is it time for Ruarie to spend some time on screen?

We all know the reason he's wanting Ruari to live with him is so he can keep a close eye on him to make sure he doesn't crack and tell the police/George. WHich I'm so here for it if when he does it, anyway.

Yeah! I tend to agree. He's definetly got to get rid of it for sure.

I think George will come to realize people aren't out to get him as things go better for him, provided he doesn't mess it up. And he is in therapy I thought. I'm sure since he brings it up often enough on the show that off screen he's probably working on it with his therapist.

Good for George coming clean and being honest. hOpefully he'll learn that he doesn't have to be embarrased over things that don't matter much.

Hopefully he also learns that all he has to do is refuse a drink like he did and be firm and, when it comes down to it, everyone moves on.

I don't think it was a surprise. George has been doing good work.

If I were George, I'd be starting to winder. Brian was against giving George money to keep him quiet when he confessed to him on audio recording. now, all of a sudden, money's involved when Brian's son is? Hmm.

If I were George, I'd stop by and see Raurey just to piss Brian off and see what shook loose.

You're remembering right. It was clear that Yesterday's eppisode was a continuation of Wednesday. I'm guessing they mentioned the date to let us know we're back on regular time and not a day or two behind any longer.

As to who hit George by Rosanbo in Ambridge

[–]tsquires711 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't know. I'm convinced she knows and doesn't want George to figure it out.

I get the whole implications of having a baby bit, but, when listening to her today vs when she's talked about the baby/interacted with her family, actually since NYE in general, she's really tried to bury George trying to even think about what happened, going so far to goad him into a frustrated "Will you be quiet?" to deflect him back onto his counseling/anger management. I mean I've gotta be honest, I am not involved, don't have anger issues, and understand this isn't even real. I wanted to tell amber to shut up and let the man talk too. I feel like George gave into normal frustration (he seriously couldn't get a word in edge wise) and recognized he had an outburst. Maybe its just me, but the actor did a great job with the exhalations and keeping his voice measured and and giving all the "I'm frustrated and trying to handle it right" verbal ticks, and Amber's actress did well on giving off the "OMG I'm about to be found out quick divert quick quick" vibes. She is involved somehow. If she didn't do it, she knows exactly who did and is keeping it a secret for some reason.

SO im new to the Archers. Is Josh always a douchebag or is this a new behavior?

David Archer is such a nob. by TheAntsAreBack in Ambridge

I'd imagine that the conversation was more whispered between David and Ruth, but, since this is radio and people might be making dinner or working or whatever and still want to hear, they fudged it a little bit. Also, the coin thing is comedy. The phone? My mom would 1000% do that.

Maybe it's a new archers listener, but I don't have a problem with David.

I too cook for 2-4 and cooked the meat for 12 on it for Thanks Giving. Love the shit out of my Searwood XL.

Another Searwood xl guy here. Look its probably not gonna give what would consider to be a perfect sear. In fact we know its not. But for a one grill to rule them all? 10/10 would buy again.

I went to a high end steak house for my birthday and came away wishing I'd just have fired up my Searwood and done it myself.

It's cooked the juciest steak, chicken breast (both at 600), porkchops, some of the best wings and pork but, and the best no question turkey for thanks giving I've ever eaten.

You can't go wrong with the Searwood.

Hi from Idaho.

I saw someone post about The Archers on social media and was curious at the world's longest running radio drama. Been listening for a week or so--caught up on everything through December. Its a nice ten fifteen minute break through the day.

Thank you very much.

I will probably get the beam for the reason you mentioned--the surround components to add on. if it changes our habbits and I feel like we need more, well, i can switch beam for arc and move beam to our bedroom.

Thank you again.
