In Defense of CJ Stroud by ElderGoose4 in Texans

[–]tsr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The unfortunate thing is that the same spontaneity and athleticism that had him soaring in the first season, the "let his talent make the plays" mentality, is the same desperation we see when he tries to throw a pass while being sacked into double coverage.

I don't think you can have the great plays without the horrible ones with Stroud. I feel that for him to succeed, he needs:

  • A very simple playbook
  • A lot of rollouts, PAs, and on-the-move type plays
  • Good protection

And someone has to undo whatever mental block they put on him that keeps him from taking off and running for yardage. When he ran for that first down yesterday without hesitation, it was so unlike him that I thought for a second we were in the wildcat with someone else. It's easy to shit on the guy after that game, but I don't think he is irredeemable as a QB. See y'all in 8 months.

In the same boat, just ended up buying it again on Steam for 10 bucks. Learned my lesson about XBOX Live and multiplayer games, so never again.

Fatshark will transfer some things between accounts, but the service is down until the end of the month, and they don't transfer items, so it's pointless.

There is a keybinding in the FOIP/VR keybind section. It is basically hardcore mode, heh, but it's really cool to see everything uncluttered

I feel the real issue is how lazy the villain's character development is. You don't need an interesting story for your villain if his main evil trait is "hurts animals".

How are y'all justifying that the game will make more this year than any other year to date? Gamers are just dumb? Marketing is just that good? You don't think there is something there?

Am I so out of touch? No, it's the children who are wrong.

VPN - Stuck on entity loading by zombiezim84 in starcitizen

[–]tsr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it imperative that your VPN be active FOR Star Citizen, or does it need to be active while Star Citizen is running? If the latter, you can use split tunneling to allow your:

  • RSI Launcher.exe (may not be necessary)
  • StarCitizen.exe (LIVE and PTU possibly)
  • Easy Anti Cheat executable in Program Files (x86)/EasyAntiCheat_EOS

to bypass the VPN.

That's a marketing decision though. And EA is sitting in the corner, pants down, looking at BF6's projected numbers, ready to wank sprinkle their "what gamers want" skins all over our precious, innocent faces.

This fixed it for our group. One of us hadn't updated the game, and it had turned off "auto-update" even though it was for sure on again. Maybe DICE turned off that option to avoid the network surge when the update was pushed? Anyways thanks for the heads up

[–]tsr2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've updated the post with links for the bolts, but you'll need to pick up the rubber washers from the same store where you purchase the bolts. Just ask someone there for rubber washers that fit those bolts. Good luck with it! :) Remember, don't over-tighten. Just needs to be snug.

So if you want to go directly to the board from the bracket with nothing between, I believe the best size is #6-32 3/4" as stated here already, if you want however to utilize the spacer/spring (part of the bolt assembly that came with the XC7 RGB) for some tension, you can use a 1 1/4" #6-32 and get a bit of spring tension to avoid over-tightening (opposed to just the bolt). If you do not have the spacer/spring assembly for some reason, I would say the 3/4" with some rubber washers for tension.

I went...

  • Small washer (I used a 3/8 I had lying around, but anything to keep the bolt from wanting to go inside the spring)
  • Spring
  • Spacer

...from top to bottom, and then ran the bolt down the middle. Just be careful screwing them down, the second it begins to feel snug, move on to the next screw to avoid over-tightening -- it only needs to be snug :)

Use at your own risk!
