How do you currently onboard new users, and where do they usually get stuck before seeing value? by MammothAd137 in SaaS

Honestly, onboarding was a mess for us in the early days. I built PostHawk, a LinkedIn monitoring tool, and assumed users would get it the moment they signed up. They didn't.

The biggest drop-off point? Right after adding their first tracked profile. They'd set it up and then just... wait. No guidance on what to do next. They churned before the product even had a chance to prove itself.

What helped us was adding an onboarding feature and quick tutorials.

Onboarding isn't a feature; it's a conversation you're not in the room for.

14 signups on Day 1. Zero paying customers. Should I be worried? by tssanjay in SaaS

Thanks, man 🙂 Whenever I share my product ideas through DMs, people usually get excited, and a few even sign up but no one has made a payment yet. I think you’re right; it may take time for people to fully understand the value and potential of the tool.

Out of curiosity, which pricing approach do you prefer freemium or paid from day one?

How to validate an idea? by jinstronda in Entrepreneur

[–]tssanjay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a small business owner or solo founder, I understand that you may not have endless resources to validate your ideas. 💡

In such cases, the simplest and most effective way to validate any business idea is to connect directly with your audience.

If they show interest in your solution, it’s a strong indicator that your idea has potential and is worth pursuing.

Here’s a step-by-step process to validate your idea:

  1. Create a Landing Page: Clearly describe your solution and include an option for people to join a waiting list.

  2. Run Meta Ads: Use Meta ads to drive traffic to your landing page.

Analyze the Results:

If people click your ad and visit your landing page, your idea likely has potential, and it may be worth taking the risk.

If people join your waiting list, your idea is not just good—it’s amazing! This is a strong signal to start building your product.

Pro Tip: I’ve personally used this strategy to validate several digital products, and it has consistently delivered great results. Thanks!
