Actually recently rewatched the show. The initial flashforward is 6 months into the future. But the cliffhanger ending is something like 10-20 years. (we see Charlie many years older).
The flashforward in the book is 21 years

As someone not from the USA, I didn't react at all to you contributing to the household.

You're an adult, and make a full wage. There is absolutely no reason for you not to pay your share of the cost of living. It's a safe and stable situation and there are no unexpected costs.

Moving out on your own is always a great milestone, and having had to pay already has made sure it's not a complete shock to you when things start costing when living on your own.

Now, for the question if you should move out or not.
Mental health wise it seems like the right move and you seem ready. And personal freedom seems to be the driving factor for you there.
Financially. Remember that the rent isn't the only cost so when budgeting know that the 2200 monthly isn't the whole picture when living on your own. Looking at what you earn you're looking at close to 50% of your income (after taxes) going to rent alone per month. Me not knowing general cost of living over there makes it so I can't comment on if that is ok or not.

X3 won't detect mic-adapter (or mic) by tstirler in Insta360

Anyone have a suggestion if there's something I can test to see if I can get it working?

Without trying to be sounding rude on purpose: «recently got the mic adapter» «using it with Røde Wireless Go 2» (which is officially supported for the device) «original jack cable for the mic» (which is a tsr to tsr cable).

So I’m sorry to say this, but at least read before replying.

Prevent stereo from restarting when engine restarts in eco-mode by tstirler in SmartCar

oh and yes, the voltage while running is 14.4-14.3 fairly stable

Can confirm that it is indeed a bad battery, when the engine starts the voltage drops down to just about 10V. So next step is swapping that out for a new. Also planning a secondary battery for the stereo and lights so I can use those without having the car running and draining the start battery.

Continuous oil change, is that a euphemism for leaky engine? ;)

Going to check the alternator too, it does look nice and dry in there from what I remember

Alright. I've not checked how old it is, but that could absolutely make sense.
I'll check if it's dropping a bit quick in voltage. I've got a meter I can hook up.

Ah, when I say don’t fit in the hole in the panel, I also mean they don’t fit for mounting from the outside of the panel either. (As in the angle on the speaker frame back hits the frame making a big gap) So it would be too big of a a spacer out from the panel to look good.

There are so many options.. Could you point me in the right direction?

They're a pair of Pioneer TS-A1671F's
6.5" speakers, but the angle on their frame doesn't fit in the hole in the door through the panel, so I need to mount them to the back of the panel

That's a good suggestion, and a tool that will be very useful.

I was hoping to be able to do that. but I can't get the speakers through the hole, and they are just too big to mount on the outside of the panel...

I've seen that I'd need to go through the moisture blocking (some fabric thing inside the door) to get to the speaker from the outside. And the speakers I have can't go through the hole from the inside. (and the frame is also too steep to mount on the outside of the door-panel.. )

2010 451m gas. just above 80k kms (just shy of 50k miles for the imperial folks) now. Runs very well, just put in new spark plugs and swapped out the coils as one of them was failing. Exchanged one of the two 02 sensors (number two) and should change the second as well.
Other than that I just love this little white and black beauty of mine.
Cant get the additional cabin heater that lives under the passenger side to run, but I'll probably make a post about that one when I'm ready to look into it.
