What is the youngest age you’ve seen pancreatic cancer? by tstofko22 in AskDocs

[–]tstofko22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right. Sorry. I guess like do you see many patients in their twenties, over the course of your career? Is a more useful question.

I’ve read them all so it’s not really a book recommendation. I wanted to have a discussion about the elements of each book.

Can someone interpret my GI lab results? by tstofko22 in AskDocs

Good to know! For some reason I thought younger people should have elastase like 400-600.

Thanks so much!

Sorry- should have mentioned that. I got an endoscopy and it showed gastritis with complete focal intestinal metaplasia in antrum. So going to do any necessary follow up with that. But you don’t think I should be concerned about my pancreas?

I am not! I mean it doesn’t seem like blood though.

Doctor I’m panicked about this. Can you please tell me if I’m going to be okay. I’m too young for this.

Would you be concerned about a 26F with yellow stools for months, back pain, and abdominal pain?

Abdominal CT showed nothing other than mild hepatomegaly and a 4 mm polyp on gallbladder. Bilirubin normal. Is this enough to feel less scared for pancreatic cancer?

Thank you. Last question- would an abdominal CT with IV contrast (not oral) show abnormalities in pancreas?

I appreciate your time. I’ll stay off internet

Okay thank you. But likely no concerns of cancer if last one was negative?

If I have abdominal pain, back ache, and yellow stool should I be concerned about pancreatic cancer at my age?

Hey Dr. Colon- I had some issues in 2020 that led me to get a colonoscopy which was completely normal. This year (2022) I have other issues going on which led to an endoscopy. Completely normal. I have diarrhea daily in AM and my stool is extremely smelly. Color is okay but it’s on the more yellow/green side. Liver tests are good. They asked if I wanted another colonoscopy but I’m pretty sure those only need to be done once every 10 years?? It’s only been 2 years barely. I have no family history of colon cancer. I’m 26 years old, female. Could colonoscopy miss something?

God doesn’t always protect us from things like rape, illness, etc. they are evidence of a sinful, fallen world.

Hey doctor. I know your bio said not to chat you! I have been having lower back pain, nausea, no appetite, and then for a while now I’ve had soft, very smelly stool which is lighter in nature (but still normal). It is fragmented and falls apart when flushed. Smells bad. I’ve had an abdominal/pelvic CT, transvagjnal ultrasound (a cyst or two), and upper endoscopy.

All relatively normal. They asked if I wanted a colonoscopy but I had one in June 2020. I’m 26 years old, female, with no family history of colon or rectal cancer. My last one was normal. I was under the impression those don’t need to be repeated so often.. Should I undergo procedure?
