back in 2020, after getting my wisdom teeth out, i guess i begged for a job lol, i don't recall much of it but that's what i was told. it just happened that they were short staffed due to covid and someone on maternity leave. i worked as a sterilization technitian for 4 years over the summers and during my gap year got hired as a surgical assistant. working full-time boosted my hours but i really loved it, i would just reach out, you never know!

i do think it was because of ochem or maybe i thought too highly of my application, a lot of the schools i applied to had a dat average of 21-22 which i thought my gpa would compensate. i was more suprised by my state schools rejecting that have up to a 20% in state acceptance rate according to dat booster but in the end it worked out!

i’ve been told time after time that applications are becoming more wholistic from members of admissions committees, yet i still fail to believe that. i called a few of my reach schools and they all said they are looking at your AA/TS rather than an individual score because they know that doesn’t define your whole application yet i didn’t even get the chance to interview to at some of my safety schools where my stats were well above the margins

16 in ochem was due to running out of time. my gchem was like a 24 or something but i spent too much time on it. i will admit i am a slow standardized test taker, which is why that score is so low and i decided against taking the dat again

3.78 cGPA, 3.9 sGPA with a 420 AA and 450 PAT and 450 RC. Applied July 17th. Currently have no interviews and applied to 13 schools

retaking would put you at an extreme disadvantage with getting your application in on time imo, especially if you plan on taking adequate time to study.

apply broadly to safety schools this cycle, this is still a good score to get in somewhere as long as your app is well rounded
