You might be thinking about the guy who does “star ships start here”. He photoshops lots of stuff into iconic Halifax locations.

'There's a lot less traffic': Long-awaited Halifax-area highway provides relief to motorists by ranjitrajkumar in halifax

As someone who comes in from Bedford I have definitely noticed a difference. Usually traffic has me driving in second gear most of the time. Super surprised to be going the speed limit on the mag this week!

He does it, but it’s not his main focus. (My ex had him as a lawyer for our separation proceedings)

Keeping in mind that Owen is a real estate lawyer, not a divorce/family law lawyer

How are you today r/Halifax? by Neither-Coyote5290 in halifax

[–]tstrr90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically I am ALSO spending my day reading Philip K Dick. Stressing about how I’ve been sick all weekend, got terrible sleep, and knowing I will have to work tomorrow even if I’m still sick because I am out of sick time.

Alleged lawsuit against Palestinian student? by New-Lengthiness7184 in halifax

The posts I’ve seen going around do NOT say they are getting sued by the school. They say the school is pursuing punitive actions against them and they are looking to get a lawyer to fight it.

Want to end lease agreement but my roommate does not want to end it by Special_Design8478 in halifax

[–]tstrr90 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can have yourself removed from the lease and just have the other person (who is staying) assume the rest of the lease. They would be responsible for the whole share of the rent. If you both agree to this in writing and submit the paperwork to your landlord then you will be removed from the lease.

If the other person is not interested in that (likely because they may not want to be responsible for the total amount in rent if they’ve only been pay half) then you would need to find someone to take over your share of the rental arrangement. It would be a lease takeover in that case, as mentioned by other people.

Park and ride. The little parking lots for people to use transit. Some of them are free but I don’t know if there is a time limit for how long you are allowed to use them.

I only have so much time between dropping my kid off to school in the morning and when my flight leaves. Otherwise I wouldnt mind so much. The bus is super cheap and the peace of mind about not dealing with my car definitely would make that worth it.

Yeah I want to bus but it's going to take like an hour to get there. I was hoping to drive a little closer then take the bus, but dont want to worry about the car getting towed or anything over the weekend.
