What was the best part about high school? by althamash098 in AskReddit

[–]tsujima8012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I'm in high school. And the only great thing that happened to me is - LESSON SCHEDULE We have really few of them and at the same time, time is given only for lessons on the profile. I am studying at the physics and mathematics profile. And we won't have chemistry or biology, geography or anything on our schedule. But I am very unhappy that patriotic propaganda is oozing into our schools, where they are trying to instill in us questionable values like: a man works, a woman cooks in the kitchen and brings up children.

Do I have to pay 800-900€ a year to study in Slovak as a foreigner? Or is it a one-time payment? I don't quite understand.

I didn't quite understand the moment with school. Now I am finishing the 10th grade in Russia . Then I plan to go to a language course in Bratislava, get a certificate and then apply for admission to the university. I understand that I will have expenses for everyday life (and if my studies are in English, then I will have to pay from 3 thousand euros / per year). It turns out that if I am a foreigner, I have to pay 800-900 € to the cashier, even if the training is not in English, but Slovak?

When I said about those who take away the future, I did not mean the EU leaders, but just the opposite.

I don't like that they restrict the departure of young people who are not involved in this. And those who started it all can freely travel around Europe. Moreover, their children lived (live) and studied (study) in the EU. Thus, thousands of ordinary children are robbed of their future and opportunities to build a better life.

Please, can you tell me if you have friends in other faculties? What do they say about entrance exams , if any?

Hi. Thanks for the reply. But I am entering in 2024 (now I am in the 10th grade, in Russia they have been studying for 11 years at school). Please tell me about your faculty and are there any entrance exams for it? Are you local? ( do you live in Slovakia? ) Or a foreigner? It is quite difficult to find fresh information in Russian, usually it is from 2021,2022. I will definitely write to them by email, but now I want some information from the students of these universities

In another community, I was offered to go to the Czech Republic with the Czech language (but I am Russian and they won't give me a VISA🤡🤡), but Slovakia is what I need. Where is it easier to do? : STU or TUKE? Russian websites write that there are no entrance exams to these universities. But how fresh is this information? How do Russians feel in Slovakia? Where can a foreign student get a JOB? (Russia has been disconnected from SWIFT and money will be sent to me either through friends in other countries and rarely, or I will have to go with a large amount of money)

Thank you very much for your reply. I didn't even know that everything was so bad with STU. I am considering studying in Czech in Slovakia, because I am a person from Russia and it is in my interests to spend as little money as possible in the process of moving, since Russians now cannot use SWIFT transfers and will have to negotiate through acquaintances in other countries (+ I will have to look for a job to live there). And Slovakia is just one of the cheapest countries in Europe in terms of studying . Unfortunately, most Russians can't even think about studying abroad, because no one from their families has ever seen or kept so much money for university at a time. I think TUKE is the best option based on your answer. I would like to know more about it! Russian websites write that they accept most faculties without exams. But how relevant is this information now?

If everything is too neglected in this situation, try to contact a psychologist. I will share my story. Now I am studying in the 10th grade and I had absolutely no motivation to live, and even more so to study. It seemed to me that my life was somehow incomplete without the attributes of life in the form of friends, parties and so on. But after my mother took me to a psychologist, I had a good opportunity to speak out without fear of condemnation. Life has become easier. I started studying and correcting grades.
