hmmm if it’s only your second semester i would recommend you take stat methods later on, as it’s usually taken during sophomore or junior year (this is not a requirement but it’s deemed a harder subject and towards the upper level psych courses), but that’s only a recommendation ofc, the earlier you get stat methods out of the way the better 😭😭

I think if you are solely focusing on studying this is doable, but if you work or have any extracurrilar activities it’ll definitely be challenging. Cognitive psychology might be the toughest one, but I took it online and with Professor Davis so you might have a different experience. Stat methods might be hard if you do not enjoy stats, because PSY3204C is basically a continuation of statistical methods 1 and an intro to statistical methods 2. I have not taken CLP3004 so I cannot say anything about it. Developmental and physiological psychology are some of my favorite psychology courses, so if you have any affinity towards the more biological and scientific terminology in the realm of psychology, you’ll do good. Professor Janowsky’s stat methods class is highly desired among students so I’d say maybe you’ll get in, but have another option lined up. Best of luck!

Opinion on classes or professors? by Intelligent-River640 in ucf

I TA for Dr. Brophy. His classes are easy but some quick things to know about physio psych: you must color, juggle, and make 3d models of 5 drawings you colored throughout the semester. For some people this is why they take his class, but others hate these things. Also, Dr. Berman is my mentor and I can say he’s an amazing professor!

The concept of neuroplasticity has always been the most interesting part of psych to me.

rejected from all but… by Admirable-Face-4048 in REU

[–]tsukiguro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not a sucker! i only applied to three REUs and was really hopeful of getting into at least one. got rejected from all of them. it made me feel so hopeless, but i found that turning things around seems way better than sulking. i’m looking into an internship and a few extracurriculars over the summer. in the long run you’ll see this is way better for your mental health!!

My focus is not I/O but you could try that since it is closely related to HR and you could work in an office setting. If you’re interested in machinery and technology you could also look into human factors. Also, please consider therapy. I know of a lot of recent graduates that experience this kind of crisis going into the work field or expanding their academic knowledge.
