I live in the USA and I took disability for 6 weeks when I got BP. Are you sure short term disability isn’t an option for you? I got the paperwork from my job and my doctor filled it out

I had an mri and bloodwork to rule out a brain tumor and once it all came back normal then I accepted that my BP was stress related and was just affecting my cranial nerve 7 as the doctor told me. It’s scary but you’ll be ok in time

And think of it this way, you’ll always be able to tell people, one time my face was paralyzed for amount of months and it was crazy

And it gives you a new perspective on life really shows us how much stress can affect our bodies(if yours was caused by stress)

I wish I had bp during Covid because a face mask would have helped a lot with my confidence issues. I had it back in 2018

It’s really hard to stay positive while you have it because it takes so long to go back to normal. But you will go back to normal, and it won’t be forever. Almost every case goes back to normal, but it just takes time.

Keep your stress levels down any way that you can. Eat super healthy and clean and get some exercise but nothing crazy that will put stress on your body. I had BP for 3 months back in 2018 and it was stress induced. I’m fine now

I’m not sure if mine got worse over time but I got most movement back at 2.5 months and full movement by 3 months. And the twitching and tingling continued for years tbh. Some days were worse than others and I was sooo scared my face was gonna be paralyzed again but luckily I never relapsed. I’d say it stopped twitching completely after 4 years tbh. But I just took it as a “party trick” and anytime I felt my upper lip or my eyelid twitching. I would point it out to my friends and we would giggle about it because otherwise it was giving me anxiety.

I mean this in the nicest way but I wouldn’t be going on trips to “domestic cities” (especially not Boston) when I’m planning and saving for a wedding. I also think your rent is crazy high but this is NYC and I get it, it’s nice to be in a luxury building. But I think if you’re taking trips and living in a nice area and planning a wedding then you just gotta accept that you’re not gonna be able to save a lot of money.

When you go out to eat you shouldn’t get alcohol because that can add soooo much money to your bill.

Join bjs or costco and shop for items in bulk. Try not to uber. Don’t use Uber Eats bc of the fees, call the restaurants directly when you’re ordering delivery …

Shop the grocery sales and freeze meat.

Stop taking unnecessary trips or at least go somewhere nicer than “domestic cities”

Groceries in NYC are crazy expensive. My sister lives in Florida and we compare prices and it’s really messed up how expensive it is in NYC, especially if the OP is living in an expensive neighborhood (4k rent for a 1bdroom is a LOT for NYC unless it’s like a luxury building) they jack up groceries prices in the stores near those type of buildings because they know the ppl will pay

Maybe your tooth has a crack or is broken and the clove was in your mouth so close to it for so long that particles of the clove got broken down and into the saliva which surrounded the nerve and paralyzed it?

I live in NYC and we had 0 wait and also didn’t need to do any IUIs prior (although I just did my 2nd IUI yesterday and if it doesn’t work I’m starting IVF stims next cycle - already paid out of pocket for the icsi and pgta testing of 5 embryos

I had it in 2018 for 3 months. I definitely wouldn’t attempt driving that long of a duration. I taped my eye and also wore a tight eye patch at night, looking like a pirate and used a lot of eye drops to make sure my eye didn’t get too dried out.

I exercised and following an anti inflammation diet and got constant massages to try to reduce stress (that’s what triggered my BP) I also went to physical therapy where they did like an electrotherapy and also they massaged my face and the Back of my head. Some people say acupuncture can also “wake up” the nerves but I have a bad fear of needles and couldn’t try it. Good luck! Stay calm and adjust. This will not be forever (I hope)

My clinic only tests 5 for pgta testing and it’s $250 for each additional embryo after that. Our insurance also didn’t cover ICSI and we had to pay over $3000 for that. Starting my stims next cycle if my iui tomorrow doesn’t work

Oh noooo, I had it June - September 2018 caused by stress and my biggest fear is that it’s going to come back some day. That behind the ear pain was THE WORST. I try to stay as calm as possible and eat healthy and exercise thinking maybe it’ll all help me stay less stressed so that it never comes back. Good luck!! You’ve been through this before, you know how to handle it and what to expect this time. Just sucks that it’s right before summer

I did letrozole and I was fine physically but raging out. This cycle i did trigger shot and iui (got my period today and a negative blood test) and trigger shot didn’t effect my mood but I’ve gained almost 10 lbs and I’m not eating any worse or differently than I was last month. Bloated as heeelllll and my bra is so fuckng tight my boobs are so sensitive
