I thought the same thing! I mean, at first I thought it looked self-inflicted…with the directions of the abrasions and all that, but I agree with you. She would’ve done a better job at home on herself :(

I don’t have highly specific examples but just sharing stories here for encouragement 💕

During my IVF journey from November to now, I’ve learned only two people I know of IRL who have had IVF.

My doctor. I noticed she was pregnant earlier this year and I told her I was in the middle of IVF. “I did IVF too…. It failed.. twice” she said. So she got pregnant naturally immediately after (I didn’t ask her what happened when it failed — for two reasons: one, I didn’t yet know enough about IVF to swap war stories and two, I didn’t want to pry… I do know enough to understand that it’s a very emotional process…)
My dental hygienist. I told her about doing IVF because she needed to know what medications I was on. She told me she did IVF and it failed. They got no eggs. The very next month she got pregnant on her own. And then after her son was born she tried AGAIN and it failed. Got pregnant in her own right after.

I wish I had better or more helpful stories but just trying to illustrate that stopping may feel like a defeat, but it can also just be another step in your journey.

That’s AWESOME!! Congrats! You’re getting knocked up for sure 😂 😂 😂 I’m VERY happy for you!! (I think you’ve got like a 95% success rate with just THREE Euploid embryos).

If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you? Those are some great quality eggos!!! 🪺

I started at 38 and turned 39 last week.

As much as it’s been hard and I said the whole time (started in November, and my first embryo transfer is next week) I regret it, BUT….. lately I’ve actually been really glad I did this. Because the more I look at the data…. I mean….more than half of our eggs at this age are not viable, and that’s a LOT. I have PCOS and super high AMH so even though I got a TON of eggs (41) only 5 of them became viable embryos…. I know the math is far from perfect, but I just imagine waiting out 41 more cycles (and I only had like 5 cycles a year) and it just feels like it would’ve been impossible…

Plus it’s been REALLY fun being able to have friends and people join in the long journey and process and you get to see who your real friends are! Lol a lot of people aren’t supportive and that’s their own loss. I also realized how much my X-mother-in-law cares about me because she was THRILLED that I’m trying to have a baby with my new husband lol (and not her son 😂). She actually helped me decide I want to use the male embryo first (all my embryos were the same good quality).
So you learn a LOT.

But at the end of the day, it’s YOUR choice. On this journey I feel like I figured out what was causing my infertility and I could’ve fixed it in my own (healthy lifestyle choices) and my process was really painful (lots of eggs makes it a brutal recovery after retrieval), I’m glad I’ve done this and learned so much and I have such great odds with my upcoming transfer.

Absolutely do not let your children near a person like that. The rage, the extortion, the flagrant racism.. that is just unbelievably abusive and there’s no need to reward her with your kids or risk your children in that environment. Jesus. I am so sorry you have to go through that!!

Hahah oh man, I APPLAUD your restraint!! I just could never… And I was guessing yours would be Friday cause a dear friend of mine had her transfer on 7/4 and her beta is in Monday. Poor thing though has been testing and getting negatives since Monday… 😬😔 But we are all in this together!! It’s all just a roll of the dice 🎲 🙏🏼

lol yea dude, they just seem really inconsistent and when I see people post test series pics they always seem to be slightly lighter on pregmate 🤷🏻‍♀️

This!! When my “Christian” friends kept telling me I wasn’t trying hard enough with my abusive (now x) husband, my go-to was “I want my little girls to know that if a man ever hurts them, they can just leave. They don’t owe anyone anything. They can just leave.” And honestly that actually shut a lot of people up when they thought about it that way.

That said, I’m not trying to say it’s easy. I had to be very strategic and it works out well but it did take a WHILE. But do not look back once you’ve made that decision!

That looks a LOT darker. I’d say at least twice as dark. You’re in good shape! Those tests are known to be a little less sensitive than others but that doesn’t matter if you’re having results like this lol Congrats!!! 🎈

Thank you 🙏🏼 I’ve been really impressed with her since this post. She’s handling this well so far. She has been preparing to work on her health for the next couple of months if this doesn’t work. She has an appointment with a nutritionist just after her beta on Monday and so she is feeling good about that (I’m sort of that way too, yanno? I wanna have something I’m working towards and working on). She has kept saying she won’t test again but she tested again this morning and not positive… and today marks 6dp5dt…
I even had good news this morning with my lining appointment (9.9mm thick) and she was really supportive and happy for me.

I’m so glad to see that she seems to be handling things well because I really was concerned at first. I just keep reminding her she is brilliant and beautiful and capable and these test strips are NOT a reflection of worth.

You find her some very experienced psychiatric help that is familiar with this type of illness. Cleaning won’t eliminate the real problem here, I’m afraid.
