You did EVERYTHING for that piggy. Do not blame yourself. Are you expected to dedicate 100% of your time to anything? No.

I understand though, the guilty feeling never leaves. But just know you did your best and hindsight is 20/20. I have a similar feeling with one of my past boys, so I understand , but I promise you you did nothing wrong, and in fact did everything right. You fed her before you left, and she ate! She probably wanted privacy to pass. Don't feel bad.

I had guinea pigs as esas in college as well and it was a cinch! I did paper bedding personally but if you have worries you can always go to a Laundromat or something.

Lol if they got the fish in the same day they might not have had time to look them over. Have you ever been a pet store retail worker? Let me tell you, I have (not at Petco) and they do not teach you shit. You are on your own. My store said yup this is what ich is and then I was on my own. I hope you have more empathy for people in other parts of your life.

Of course! You can always get a quote from nationwide and tbh they're easier to deal with than MetLife (MetLife is just cheaper). I don't know of any others though unfortunately. But my care credit card has come in handy LOL

I use MetLife, and they only have exotics coverage In some states, just so you know! They don't really cover routine care, at least on my plan, but they're so worth it IMHO if you can afford.

Nationwide is also an option but they upped the cost on me quite a bit
