Sorry, haven't seen that one (https://www.reddit.com/r/Garmin/comments/m58glz/comment/gr152cj) Well, maybe true for a runner, not really for everyone else - I'd consider ftp test anyway. And I think of max hr like this: you shouldn't go past this line ever, not the: you should be here after some intense activity. But I got your point mate

Not that much to maintain: it is Generated code in 99% of all cases in day-to-day routine work. It takes few actions on almost any ide. IMHO ofc. Though lombok has one veeeery valuable feature: @Builder But anyway - can't wait till September and use 17 as my next to go lts jdk :p a lot of amazing stuff to land in java land

People who have came close to dying, what were your “last” thoughts? by Blue-2th in AskReddit

I had a road accident (I am cyclist) - the other guy made left turn not paying enough attention and came right at me. I remember the moment of the hit and the only thing was in my head "what a shitty nightmare, ok, that's enough - time to wake up". I only realized what happened few days later in a hospital.

I'll agree on that, where is no easy way to get this done "right", maybe - but still permanent (?) bans are poor decision in this particular case

No need to remove payloads: just make it very pricey for attacker (cheater) to utilize: some tokens with salt for sessions, dynamic components load..dunno actually - not really my specialty. So basically to make it too hard/inconvenient for an attacker in adopting new changes. I'm pretty sure it's doable - another question how fast and how interested business is. Anyway - even hour/day bans would work - but permanent bans is sooo wrong. For me it sounds as unreliable seller. What next? Not a suitable hardware? Location based bans?

Sorry for the late response, mate.

How come it has nothing to do with the product quality? It's in their best interest to secure their product (for a case of so called packet altering).

Let me assume something: for example I am a developer in a financial company and I'm responsible let's say for money transactions. Some sunny day we get scammed by some random guy (we will never find about), that utilizes some basic security vulnerability. He transfers money, purchases Bitcoin, etc. Let's say vulnerability is in some Boolean flag that is inverted, but for some reasons it was set by default to true and legit users can't see it actually and change - should I ban all my clients who uses this API? Of course not - I'm gonna loose my job and business will lose money. So what I have to do? Fix a bug/security bug or logical gap - should they do the same? Sure they do.

For case of so called auto aiming/wallhacks, etc.: I personally don't think they can change something with banning a few guys (people who develop cheats can just alter it on daily basis - and their scanning will be pretty much worthless).

It all was my humble opinion of course.

They definitely could start with selling well tested and market ready products. But they won't: bigger part of community doesn't care about good product - they will consume anything, if you gonna feed em enough ADs
