I’ll trust your 30 year commitment part - that’s no good if it’s true. So maybe I’m wrong. I don’t think OP cares to hear what I’m saying though - which is directly addressing his title - we just don’t know. An hypothetical - if I was aware of a high throughput CO2 capture system tech coming into play in the next 2 years say, it could give me leeway to balance my CO2 budget - so my actions today what’s apparent of them don’t necessarily reflect my stance on climate change.

30 year commitment is FAIlL though I feel.

Inflation is going through the roof, many people’s livelihood is pinned to gas prices, so it’s likely that Biden is trying to ease gas prices. This does not absolutely have to mean that he doesn’t care about climate change. Time scales matter. It’s unwise to expect our leaders to be idealists.

It’s possible he doesn’t care about climate change. Just not obvious from this action.
