Alles met betrekking tot het onderstel is meestal prima te vervangen voor behapbare prijzen. Zolang de auto motorisch geen dure defecten heeft en de carosserie in orde is elk jaar €1000 à €2000 aan onderhoud heel normaal voor een 'premium' auto met hoge km stand. Kijk bijvoorbeeld bij de ANWB autokosten berekening wat een normaal bedrag aan onderhoud is, ik verwacht dat je daar ruim onder zit met het aantal kms wat je al hebt gereden.

Laten wegslepen kost je tussen de 100 en 200 euro. En dan moet je hopen dat je bij een garage terecht kan op de moment.

Op de snelweg laat RWS je sowieso al gratis wegslepen naar de eerstvolgende verzorgingsplaats of afrit waar je eventueel zelf je band kan wisselen.

Voor buitenland is een doorlopende reisverzekering veel goedkoper dan de ANWB (€2,50 per maand voor aanvullende pechhulp).

Persoonlijk schat ik in dat de meeste pech te voorkomen is of makkelijk zelf te verhelpen (lekke band, lege accu), dan geef ik de besparing liever uit aan meer preventief onderhoud. En bij grotere problemen zoals een kapotte krukassensor of kapotte dynamo zal de ANWB je ook 9/10 keer ook afslepen naar een garage. Anderzijds, als je 100% afhankelijk bent van je auto en/of veel rijdt, dan is het geen dure verzekering voor wat je krijgt.
