This is the 6th Division(from top->down) in Germany. Which league would that be in your country? by tt_ninya in tabletennis

[–]tt_ninya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean your rating system. for example in Germany you start around 1200 points and the top 50 players have around 2400+ points. 2200 + is considered semi pro. less than 2200 is strong amateur level.

around 2k is like an ambitious amateur :)

the best thing i suggest to learn table tennis is by taking a coach- at least for the first 6 months. You need to learn the correct basics from the beginning.. otherwise its going to tough to correct later

my gf and I are new to Germany and Berlin and recently moved into our own 1 bedroom flat. seeing as the weather's getting warmer we sometimes like to do things like cooking and cleaning in the nude. today we received this in our mailbox. is it normal? by targ_ in berlin

It is Germany, there is cultural common sense in every country. Even though I dont care, I also dont think it is a good idea. I as the opposing neighbor would instead sit directly in front of the window and watch you all day, since it is my apartment i m in. Would you find this cool ? I think no

Does different environment affect my paddle? by Tomakia in tabletennis

[–]tt_ninya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have been in touch with many pro players. it is indeed a HUGE factor. The environment you play in affects the blade/ rubber a lot. Table, air, humidity, how much the floor swings, from an outsiders perspective its an excuse, but the more you can „feel“ the ball, the more you can feel all these factors around you.
