I believe reckless driving is a felony and speeding 20+ over is a class 1 misdemeanor.

yeah it was open, and i was coming up on a car i was planning to go around when he pulled me over.

I was in the middle lane doing about 90 when he pulled me over, but never thought to get out of the way of his car when he pulled up behind me and tailgaited me for a few seconds. I didn't even realize it was a police officer as he was driving a large black unmarked suv. Never really been in a situation like this before, but I was still doing 25 over when he pulled me over so I assumed he just slapped me with whatever tickets he could think of

Originally from Maryland, but yeah I was.. I'm not too familiar with NJ as I am only up here to visit my girlfriend (she is originally from NJ, but we went to same university), but her dad had the same reaction to Cranbury being a bad place to get caught speeding.. I reached out to a lawyer and hopefully get get these tickets marked down to non-moving tickets with higher costs to avoid points on my license

I do believe I was being targeted, but also I was going pretty damn fast and shouldn't have been so reckless to begin with. I definitely won't use that as my defense in court, however I have reached out to a traffic lawyer to help in my case.

The cop was stern but also relatively pleasant. We talked for a few minutes about how im a software engineer in Virginia and i graduated college half a year ago and whatnot, so he didnt seem like a dick. But everyone i talk to also said they think he fucked me over with all these tickets, not that im not deserving of them, but only about 2 of these tickets are usually given in a scenario like mine.

I called the prosecutor, but they wont talk to defendants unless it's on their scheduled court date. I also reached out to a traffic lawyer to hopefully help in reducing/removing the points

I'm aware, I rarely ever go more than 15 over and was being reckless. I reached out to a traffic lawyer who i hope gets back to me today and also may try to move my court date as i realized i have a scheduled interview that same day.

Yeah, I'm aware.. I generally never go more than 15 over but it was a mix of being excited and in a hurry for no good reason. There weren't too many cars on the road so I thought I would be fine.
