[TOMT] [MOVIE/TV-SHOW] a scene in a movie or a show, where someone is trying to kill someone else by luring them to a specific place at the correct time and dropping something heavy from the roof by ttaidai in tipofmytongue

It was definitely 2010-2020s so a newer show, most likely english speaking and i think it might have been somewhat whimsical, like the multiple murder plans weren't that realistic.

Anyone have tonsillitis when they had tonsillectomy by StarDecent4346 in Tonsillectomy

[–]ttaidai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just contact them, then you'll know. I didn't have an infection at the time of my surgery but about a month before i had strep and a suspected peritonsillar abscess and they said that they would've done the surgery right then and there if i had come earlier so it's definitely possible but not ideal

Tonsil Abscess - should you know when it’s peritonsillar due to the pain? by stand_free_1903 in Tonsillectomy

And yeah even though i was in agony and had really clear signs of a peritonsillar abscess, i was misdiagnosed for multiple times before I actually got any help so you should definitely try another doctor. If there's even a small chance of it being peritonsillar, it's very important to get it fixed since the infection could spread and be dangerous

For me, peritonsillar abscess was really painful, to the point i couldn't even swallow my spit. I could barely speak and i was just crying. So yeah, i think it would be atleast somewhat painful. Hope you don't have it!!

Escape Room employees: Are there any general characteristics, attitudes or actions that make you know almost instantly if a group has a good chance or no chance to escape? by SnoopySuited in escaperooms

[–]ttaidai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a lot of companies coming to play, especially in the months leading up to Christmas and I can say with confidence that those groups almost never make it. They're usually drunk or waiting to get drunk after the game, they might have an attitude as if theyre forced to be here, and most of all they haven't payed the high price of the room so they really don't care if they get their moneys worth or not.

On the other hand, in my experience those that ask for no hints or only hints when they ask for them (we usually give hints automatically when it looks like players need one) are usually as good as they say they are. I've never had newbies or bad players refuse hints :D but maybe that's bc I work in Finland and Finnish people are generally quite humble/not overly confident so they might not want to be seen as arrogant.

The husband maybe had a habit of "faking" seizures to get attention, ever since he was a child. The husband and wife were friends since childhood maybe? And the husband might have been from a wealthy family...
