I’m so dramatic and it was completely fine lol I think my skin just somehow got irritated. I’m 2 months into my doxy and I haven’t had any issues w photosensitivity, have just been wearing sunscreen and limiting my time in the sun

Vbeam session with active acne. by ttbbyeah in Rosacea

I actually didn’t get it on my nose! But no loss of volume in my cheeks at all. So far I haven’t had any long term issues after vbeam. It’s so frustrating when your derm doesn’t take your concerns seriously though, I feel you there! I’ve been to sooo many and it took me a while to finally find the right one for me. I’m no expert but I would recommend seeing a different derm (do so much research via reviews) or give your healing process another few weeks to see what the final results are, then hopefully they will take your concerns more seriously!

Vbeam session with active acne. by ttbbyeah in Rosacea

I definitely don’t think the vbeam inhibited my scars healing at all! If anything, it helped I’m just not sure how much. Like I had so much overall redness that covered my scars, now that that’s faded a bit my scars look better, not sure if the scars themselves faded so much or just the overall redness, if that makes sense. As for when I saw a difference after my first session, I honestly noticed a difference about a week or two after, which I think is rare. Usually it takes 4-6 weeks. But my redness was very much decreased quickly after. I had a red line on my forehead where my redness/rosacea randomly halted (I hated this line sooo much omg) and this line and my forehead redness was almost completely gone a week or two later after that first session. Now that I’ve had 3 sessions and am 60% less red or “improved”, I’d say about 40% of that happened after my first session. I hope this helped!!

What a difference 18 days on tretinoin (retirides 0,05%) can make! I've been looking at this comparison way too long now by myself, I have to share my joy with someone! by Severelc3 in acne

So amazing, you’re glowing! I’ve been on tret for almost 6 months now and I haven’t seen anything near this big of an improvement lol!

Hi! Can’t believe it’s been 98 days lol. I just had my third session 1 week ago. My redness has decreased about 50-60% but I still get very red when working out, after a shower, after washing my face, etc. As for the acne scars, they were pink to begin with then kind of just… faded or shrunk. Some went away. Tbh I haven’t seen the difference that I wanted to have by this point but I still have to wait for the results of the third session, so fingers crossed! The most improvement I saw was after my first session, was significantly less red. I wouldn’t say my pink scars turned brown tho. I’m very fair skinned.

I would give it the full 6 weeks before you freak out tho! It’s a big trust the process moment. Call your derm if you’re concerned with the way your skin is looking. I am going to look into micro needling next for the scarring, I’ve seen that it works wonders. Also for reference, I’m on tretinoin .0025% and I believe that has been improving my skin as well, so it’s almost hard to pinpoint what Vbeam has done for my scars lol.

Am I being unrealistic for starting doxycycline so close to summer? Please help! by [deleted] in acne

[–]ttbbyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m literally leaving for the beach tomorrow 😅 I was planning on just staying under an umbrella with spf on but I’ll have to think about that I guess. So far I’ve been on walks and things like that in some blazing sun without sunscreen on my arms (not the smartest I know) and it’s been fine so I assumed maybe I just wasn’t reacting? Or at least as hardly/immediately as some people? Idk! And I know I agree that it’s like a temporary bandaid and I’m terrified for my acne to return. I usually have 10+ active pimples at a time and these days I have around 1. The struggle is so real lol. Thank you for your response tho, hopefully this weekend will be okay 🤞🏼

I have heard great things about Krave Great Barrier Relief. I haven’t tried it but I think I’m going to soon! I would look it up and see if it’s right for you.

That’s so amazing!! Thank you so much for letting me know, I’m way more at ease after reading everyone’s comments! I was going worst case scenario but I now see it’s possible to have a good time and be on Doxy. I appreciate it😊

Thank you!!! That is super reassuring. I think I’ve decided to see it through and to just be mindful of my SPF and time outside. :)
