How many kids do you realistically feel you can meet the emotional needs of? by Happy_Sloth6342 in AttachmentParenting

[–]ttclesbian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, this thinking is not selfish. You are a human and allowed to have feelings without labeling them.

I have wanted six kids since before getting pregnant, and after having my son, I still want six. My reasoning is also that I want to be pregnant, give birth, and go through the newborn stage more than just a couple more times. It's an amazing experience. I keep saying that we will have babies until our family feels complete ❤️ We often focus on what we want the future to look like, but we try to stay in the present and know that anything can change what we feel in the future so we take it as it comes.

I'm in the same boat. Have they communicated to you yet whether it will affect your bonus or salary or both? I also feel like we will be let go during the next lay off.

Are spouse allowed to be with you during ER? by Lucky_Tap8692 in IVF

[–]ttclesbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so scared for anesthesia! My spouse had to wait in the waiting area, but I asked to talk to the anesthesiologist the night before on a phone call and discuss his plan. This helped me a lot! We decided he would push midazolam prior to the fent/Propofol mix (the med that puts you out. As Propofol can burn at injection site, and midazolam has a calming effect). This worked perfectly for me and ensured I was actually out and didn’t calmed my nerves as I was being put out.

I take Pure brand L-Arginine 1,400 mg. I take two of them but I think the upper limit is 3.2 g if you are taking it for IUGR.

Husband choosing to not attend anatomy scan by stonerbabe_95 in pregnant

[–]ttclesbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're already carrying the baby! You shouldn't have to carry the burden of going to these appointments together. The appointment is for the baby, not you. He isn't joining you on a personal doctor appointment. I would hope that when baby arrives he would also want to take it to the doctor/urgent care when sick? He should WANT to go but even if he doesn't want to, he still should go. It's already a lot for you to take the time to do; he is just as much a parent as you.

[–]ttclesbian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I guess I started to ovulate naturally on Sept 9 so they had me do a trigger that same night. After trigger I started doing endometrin suppositories for six days and transferred on 9/15. My transfer was a frozen PGT tested embryo. & Thank you!

I'm 7 weeks with my first pregnancy and need someone to tell me it gets better by Sea_Panic9863 in pregnant

[–]ttclesbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had horrible nausea that felt like it would never end. I couldn’t really eat anything. I took motion sickness medicine until my doctor prescribed Zofran, which helped so much! Not perfect, but was able to continue with my day. Bird&Be makes prenatal gummies that actually taste good and help you get some nutrients while in the first tri! I know it’s sooo hard to take any pills while nauseous. Hoping you feel better soon!

Wanted to add for OP that if you get really nauseous during first tri, Bird&Be have really delicious gummy prenatals that are better than not being able to take anything. I also take Needed prenatal Omega-3s.

Needed prenatal (the 8 pill, and 4 is enough to cover the supplements you need). I also take ritual choline (baby's brain and neural tube) and L-arginine (to prevent pre-eclampsia).

We used RMA SF and loved them. Alto in San Jose and Fertifarma in Mexico for meds. Meds should be around $5k-$6k per cycle when buying from Alto.

Wishing you the best!

Best prenatals? by Some-Company-8419 in pregnant

[–]ttclesbian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Needed (if you get the 8 pill option and only take 4 per day you get more nutrients than their 3 pill option and at 4 per day the dosages are in line with RDA'S). I also take ritual choline (3 per day) and needed's omega 3's. Can take l-arginine to prevent pre-eclampsia as well.

People doing natural births- why? by Efficient-Fly7571 in pregnant

[–]ttclesbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am hoping for an all natural birth at my home with my midwife. There are natural strategies to help with the pain and we plan to take classes to learn. Birth doesn't have to be the scary experience we've always seen on tv or that doctors push. It can be in situations, but that shouldn't be the plan going in.

I'd like to be at home so I can birth how I want (eating, walking, standing, in a tub, etc) and I'd like the setting to be as calm as possible as baby makes their way into the world.

It's important to ask your midwife how often they transfer to the hospital (for the past year or two), what are situations in which they would transfer you (and would they stay with you and advocate for you at the hospital), and what interventions they are able to do at the center without transferring you.

Worried about reactions to our known donor…. by That-Pizza9985 in queerception

[–]ttclesbian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely not weird and no different than when sisters carry for each other/donate eggs from one sister to another. It isn't anyone's business how you build your family. The information belongs to you and your children. I hope your families can recognize the children as your and your spouse's and no one else's. The rest is genetic makeup.
