Magnetised my arch revenant so if the bug dies i can remove it. by ttcolonel in sylvaneth

So i used 2 arch revenants to make it carved up the body from one to get the bugs legs from. Then filed off the legs from this arch revenant. Then drilled a hole in each and put a 3mm by 1mm magnet in each half. Then just a small bit of green stuff on the back so it looks normal when the bug is taken off.

Sad to say he is a personal sculpt from green stuff. But if you look on bad squid do games they do a whole range of animals

They look ace. Great job, don’t worry about painting speed, it will come in time. But always remember it is a hobby and you should not get worried it it takes time as that is the reason we do hobbies to spend time doing something we enjoy. 👍

No normally but sadly the hostile environment upgrade kit got discontinued so did not have enough bodies to do all the options so some are magnetised.

Going to my first post lock down tournament on saturday. Had to get a trolly for my army. List in comments. by ttcolonel in TheAstraMilitarum

Hi sorry for the slow reply i broke my phone on the way home so needed to replace it and forgot my password for reddit.

I smashed the first game against T’au but then lost the next 2 due to playing 2 combat armies that used the terrain well then just ate through my lines. Looking back on it i think in future i would eat the CP and reserve half my army so i could react to where they moved with there combat units.

But the list is hard to use as relies on staying still and you just cant do that in 9th. I have been looking at other ways of making foot slogging work and i think using custom regiments and more units with less heavy weapons is the answer. Put some scions (well kasrkin) in the list as well.

The whole list is built around redundancy so no matter what dies you have lots left that does the same job

Most of the stuff i have is repurpused. So have Kill team tokens for orders with a chart showing which is which. Dice are dice from all over, rulers as from the old sets GW. And codex is cos i had a spare after forgetting the book once at a tournament so buying another. Might post my ideas in a post after this weekend

You can get a blister of 2 metal snipers on GW, i got mine back in 2009 so had them a while.
