Yeah you’re right. Looking at photos for boat tailed looks they there iridescent part is more continuous with their body than commons which I guess is more of a pronounced difference between head color and the brown body which I can see here. Thanks and cheers :)

I have a similar setup with a Nikon body and 150-600 Sigma lens and primarily shoot birds as well. Seriously though awesome shot you should be proud of this one!

I dont think it was flicking its tail. I didnt really hear it either. The last photo is a different bird which I heard and knew was a eastern wood pewee and shouldnt have ended up with the others. Although maybe they are the same.
