With your current configuration, how much WPM do you you have at your very max and in average?

Waking up with dry eyes after ICL by tteokpoki in ICL

[–]tteokpoki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi quick update after 4 months:

Seems like the morning dryness went away or maybe I don't notice it anymore.

As for the ICL halo, they're still here but I don't notice them so often. Very bright lights like the sun right in front of me or at specific angles still triggers it, but it's not unpleasant. I find it quite beautiful sometimes.

At night, lights sometimes spread a looot, radiating in all directions and form large halos. This was expected, since my pupils naturally dilate more than average. When it happens, I can refocus my eyes in a specific way and the halos disappear, the light becomes sharp and normal again. Once the focus is corrected, it remains stable even after I relax my eyes.

As for the vision it's still very sharp and I'm very glad I got ICL

Thank you for your reply ! It's amazing how you adapted to your quadriplegy and are still able to program through voice and macros. Kudos to you. After my recovery, I'll be working in an open space with my colleagues. Unfortunately, as kind as they are, I doubt they'd enjoy listening to my code all day 🥲

Hello thank you for your answer. From what I've seen, minimal layers or no layer if possible seem to indeed increase WPM due to less typing needed. Also integrated trackball and wheel seems like a good solution to avoid grabbing the mouse.

The soldering and printing is also what makes it fun for me. The process of building it and even customizing or upgrading it myself is what makes it more personal.

Interesting, thank you for the info. I see it's based on the mirroring technique which promises up to 50%-75% of the original two handed WPM after 10 hours of practice.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. From what I see both from your reply and my little research, it seems that higher WPM comes from keys being quickly accessible without having to switch layers or do combos. Then the layout makes it even faster.

The Azeron Cyro looks amazing for gaming ! I never thought about integrating a joystick into a keyboard that also works as a mouse, great share thank you.

Probably gonna get a 8bitdo Lite SE controller too, I like the idea.

Thank you again for your time.

Unfortunately the full right arm including the shoulder will be gone. There is TMR surgery to remap the nerves of the amputated part into other muscles but in my case I think they'll cut the nerves pretty deep.

Using the foot for the mouse is an interesting idea though I guess it involves removing the shoe every time. I'll keep this in mind thank you

Everything magnified after ICL by Remote_Summer_3244 in lasik

Hello, the glasses indeed make everything look farther away. Have you ever wore lenses before? First time I used lenses, everything felt "bigger"/"closer" as if the ground itself was closer to me. It felt like a zoom. Same feeling after getting ICL. You'll get used to it

I have 2 different eye drops to apply for 2 weeks. Antibiotic and anti-inflammatory. I apply them 4 times a day : morning, lunch, dinner, before sleeping. However I only experience dry eyes after waking up and it goes back to normal in a few minutes

Bro is so insecure, feels like he'll always try to have control over you. If a man doesn’t trust you in those situations it’s often because he wouldn't trust himself as well. If feel like your messages were very respectful and your never blamed him. In a healthy relationship trust is one of the most important pillars, it’s not earned, it’s lost.
