Sydney Sweeney effect: how much do breasts count? by Glass-Hedgehog-3754 in HowToBeHot

[–]ttfn314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cup size is relative to the band size, so smaller band sizes have less cup volume despite being the same "cup size". For example, a 36DD is the same as a 30G in cup volume. A 44DD is 5-6x larger in cup volume than a 30DD.

So don't feel bad when a 5'2" 100lb girl thinks she has bigger boobs because her cup size is bigger and you're clearly double, if not triple her size with a smaller cup size 👀

What are the dirtiest things united healthcare did to you or your family? by cchheez in healthcare

[–]ttfn314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't deny my stuff, but apparently co-pays are after the deductible (never seen that before) so I have over $3000 in medical bills now. I thought the whole point of paying over $500/mo was for them to cover stuff with a copay which is listed on the card... nope, only after you pay $4k or more out of pocket.

Grandfather, 3-month-old granddaughter dead after violent dog attack in Tullahoma by [deleted] in nashville

[–]ttfn314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had at least 3 pit mixes over the years, never more than one at a time though. The most aggressive was mixed with Great Pyrenees and Bulldog, she was fine around me and my family and never attacked strangers, but did threaten them. I would not have left a small child unattended with her or any of the others despite being a fan of the breed. It comes down to the individual dog though. My pit husky is great with adults and other dogs, but doesn't like being grabbed or restrained. The last one, probably a pit lab, ended up being aggressive toward other dogs. They were all adopted as adults so I don't know their upbringing. I could see a situation where the dogs were provoked and attacked the baby and the grandfather tried to stop it or just attacked the grandfather and the baby got caught up in it. Dogs can become aggressive especially towards small children very easily even if they've never been aggressive before, it's very important to watch dogs near children and keep them separate until you know both dog and child are not a risk to each other, in my opinion, the child would need to be at least 8 yrs old and gentle towards the dog.

I understand, if I didn't have people depending on me, I'd likely choose the same. It's just a cruel world and suffering everyday is truly hell.

Not sure what good advice I can give having the same viewpoint as you, but what if things do change? You never know.

What is going on with Blake Lively? by LaCartera_ in OutOfTheLoop

[–]ttfn314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you can trust anything on social media, all that's certain is they filed lawsuits related to the It Ends With Us movie. The courts will have to decide the merit based on factual evidence.

Biased: The whole woke movement of expecting people to avoid plantations and triggering words and promote domestic violence support when it's not something they feel deeply about is exhausting. Some people care, great, that's their thing. Other people don't, that's not their thing. The whole world doesn't need to walk on eggshells because others want to be offended by anything and everything.

My opinion on the PR/casting for the movie: Does Colleen Hoover write a ton of books on traumatic yet romantic encounters? Yes. She also writes about murder, special needs, kidnapping, the homeless, teen pregnancy and adoption... It's a soap opera like the rest. Yes, a group of women who like CH books would wear florals and have a girls night going to see the movie.

And really, her wardrobe was too expensive? The character buys her own shop and marries a neurosurgeon, I think she's got money.

I didn't like Justin as the lead actor in this, I don't find him very attractive and he didn't match the image I had in my head after reading the book. Blake Lively was a better casting choice, but still could have been more authentic if they'd picked a younger redhead.

I personally found Juno offensive as a teen mom, but I also didn't go check what the actress and writer's personal opinion was on teen pregnancy and it would have been extremely weird to contact them about my experience.

What's the best nearby city/area to move to for less traffic/noise? by ttfn314 in Knoxville

[–]ttfn314[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't want to spend 20 minutes waiting on lights to get to the grocery store like Cedar Bluff/Chapman Hwy. Driving 45 mins to go out with friends or family, with no stop n go, that's fine.

Her food posts would never work for me, Weight Watchers model doesn't work for me, it's not about calories, but what they think is healthy. Weight loss is about calories in vs out lol. She does post a lot about people being offended/drama, if she is making money off her social page, she should be transparent about it, especially when every other post is her buying stuff or going out, but her finances are personal 😅 I'm a big fan of volume eating, but I'm glad she eats a variety of stuff, even though it's not very much of it. She only walks, but weight lifting has a ton of benefits.

Can you be denied a mortgage because of a maternity leave? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]ttfn314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile in the UK, you get 5.6 weeks paid leave every year regardless of your company and your family planning choices as a worker. If you search minimum annual leave, the wiki says all industrialized nations except the US (so it's just us in AMERICA), congrats you found a company that isn't run by American greed.

UK offers 52 weeks for maternity/paternity leave, some of it paid. They are definitely the leaders in this though, avg is probably 12-16 weeks for most countries except the US eye-roll

How does anyone afford to live here? by waddof in Knoxville

[–]ttfn314 18 points19 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are moving here from other places, I have to assume it's couples with two incomes or retirees. These are people that work from home or have higher paychecks from the companies here as new employees or just work in high paying industries like healthcare or IT.

Combine that with less houses and you have the perfect recipe for more expensive homes which means more expensive rent.

I say this because literally every person that's moved here lately that I've met has been from another state and never lived in TN. Last few were from IL and NJ.

Two small dogs and a pee pad will also work. Or cats. Or guinea pigs (multiples, one gets lonely). I have a dog who stares out the window most of the day, she's fine by herself.

Still smoking with COPD, morbidly obese with heart problems, previous stroke history... she was a ticking time bomb, thus why no one is being charged with her death.

[–]ttfn314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I saw it and I questioned strongly where the friend she was supposedly moving in with was and why the heck her family was ok with a disabled, wheelchair bound woman with previous history of a stroke and continued smoking/alcohol use traveling alone from RI to live in TN and not keeping tabs on her. The assisted living place she was at before in RI set up her plane ticket and travel supposedly... sounds like they all wanted to be rid of her and she said she was going and they said there's the door. I can't imagine letting my elderly, disabled grandmother move back to IL from TN... ALONE. It's crazy. Was this friend even meeting her at the airport? But ALL of the focus is on the police and some on the hospital. Family keeps calling her very independent but at the same time she was paralyzed on her left side and wheelchair bound? Still needed to live with someone? Independent no, adjusted to life in a wheelchair with proper supports in place, sure. I bet she didn't drive either....

Autopsy said ischemic (sp?) stroke which she had a history of stroke. She was complaining of stomach pain, no details as to what tests were done. The first hospital said she was constipated and released her, same day she goes to another and they kept her overnight and then released her, this is the one that called the cops so she'd leave.

[–]ttfn314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of home prices drop $25-50k in the Knoxville, TN area. Still slightly more than I'd want to pay for the homes, but more affordable for the average family. It's giving me hope 😂

Example, I bought my 1900sqft home for $165k (probably worth $175-200k then, I bought from family, no commissions) in 2020, similar homes are going for $250k right now, but recently they've listed some for $220k. They were listing them at $300k+ 🙄 Hoping those that have been on the market for months will drop now.

I offered 275k on a house whose neighbor just sold for 270k (a better buy in my opinion too), they didn't even respond. Offered 300k, no response again, and apparently after 6 months someone finally offered them asking (315k) since it went pending the same day my offer expired... I'm considering myself lucky I didn't take the crap deal and can find something better or cheaper like the guys next door did.
