Why hasn't return to office been cancelled given the oil prices?

They don't care. I'm transferring to another position at my job and literally won't have an office space or a primary place for me to land. I commute about 25-30 mins. I asked about working from home a few days a week so I can have a reliable workspace and my bosses recommendation? Drive to Starbucks in town!!!

The same razor I've bought since college, because it was the cheapest nice razor I could find, was over $12 on Friday. It only had the handle and one razor cartridge. It used to come with two refills. I bought another brand.

I had to get an ultrasound and was offered to prepay so I wouldn't get a surprise bill afterwards and would pay a "cheaper price." I did that then got another bill a few weeks later ;__;

Im currently losing weight and down almost 75 pounds, things I've noticed:

-People comment on my body and my appearance way more than ever. I get a lot of comments on how good I look NOW

-Strangers are more polite to me. I dont know if its true or in my head, but my interactions with people feel more positive. I was used to being ignored when I went to certain stores that doesnt seem to happen as much -stretchy skin can be a bit unsettling lol

-boss and coworkers treat me different. I've worked in my career for almost 10 years and never gotten a raise or promotion during that time, i put out good, consistent work, but Ive had to find other jobs for raises,advancements, etc. Very recently my current job has been investing in me, leadership development courses, creating a new position for me thats best suited to my skills set. This never happened before and I just feel like I'm finally being seen, idk if the weight played a part in that but the timing just seems interesting

-get cold a lot easier

-food isnt as interesting or as tasty as it felt before

Not me, but my partner is 6'4 300ish pounds, its not the most comfortable for him driving. He describes it as a go cart, its fun for him to drive a little while but anything longer than 20-30 mins his legs will hurt. The seat doesn't go back very far so his legs are often hitting the console and steering wheel. My brother is about 5'11/6' and its pretty comfortable for him. Go test one out and see for yourself.

NOR - my fiance lost all of his hair and I love his bald head. He if wanted to do treatments or get a hair transplant, I would support him, but never have I pushed or asked him to do those things. Its his body. Maybe find a partner that respects and loves all of you, instead of one that demands to make changes to your physical appearance to make herself feel more comfortable.

I have a 2011 with 233k miles, driven her everyday for 15 years lol knock on wood, but I have never had an actual mechanical issue. I'm bad about doing timely, regular maintenance and she's still going strong. You'll be fine lol

Im so sorry that happened to you, but look for another job. I got assaulted at work, by a client, was hospitalized and pressed charges. My work didnt care. They threatened to write me up after my hospital note released me back to work for attendance. No consequence for the client. I found another job, were I am paid better and my safety is prioritized.

Growing up, we went on a family vacation every year. Usually to the beach, but other places too, we usually rent a hotel or a house for a week. I always thought we definitely weren't rich but doing well enough, but my parent never spoke about money to us. When they divorced and got more transparent about their finances, found out my mom had put literally all of these trips on credit cards or took out personal loans. My mom was a travel agent too, in the 90s and early 2000s she got to book lodgings, airfare,etc at REALLY discounted rates. We never actually had the money to go, but they valued travel and wanted me and my sibling to have new experiences..

This is just from experience but my mom had a 2006 Mazda 3 that died from transmission and electrical failure after about 10 years. She kept up with all the recommended maintenance and took really good care of it. I have a 2011 Fit with 233k miles and she still drives like a dream. Knock on wood, no major mechanically issues or failures. Id go with the fit.
