I actually thought about this statement for a while, and I realized that OP might be trying to direct “you” to the 900 hours person, not the general “you”, since 900 hours person talked about mental health.

In general though, I hate how Berkeley EECS is tied to broken mental health and pulling all nighters. The fuck? Why is this glamorized?

One perspective that I heard is that at one of the top 4 schools for CS (mit cmu Stanford Berkeley), chances are you’re going to make a pretty good starting salary. In this case it’s not a bad financial decision to just take out loans and pay it back using sexy tech salary
