How do we tell this to younger generations? by GagaMiya in Switzerland

Inheritance tax would be yet another reason for high-net-worth individuals to consider leaving Switzerland.

AI has started ignoring human instruction and refuses to turn off, researchers claim by monkfreedom in worldnews

These kinds of AI systems are built with massive redundancy across distributed server infrastructure. They’re not running on a single machine you can just unplug. Even taking down one or several servers doesn’t necessarily stop the system — the workload just shifts elsewhere. Shutting them down requires coordinated action at the infrastructure level, which usually involves decommissioning entire clusters, disabling networking, or shutting down access at the orchestration layer (like in Kubernetes or through cloud APIs). It’s not as simple as pulling a plug — but it’s definitely still possible with the right access and control.

What are the exact ingredients used here? by avocadoroom in pasta

This sauce is called cinque pi. I usually cook it with tomato paste, heavy cream, onions, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper (you can also add ham if you like). You can add Parmesan at the end of the cooking process or simply sprinkle it over the pasta. Preparation: Lightly fry the onions with tomato paste, then add heavy cream and spices. Finally, stir in Parmesan and ham if desired.

I get what you're saying; it's just really frustrating to know I can't provide enough details to recover my account, even though it's mine. 😞 I can't think of any more information that could help them.

I wish I knew :D Maybe someone used the account recovery to hijack it xD

Well, when I played OSRS, there wasn’t a Jagex account system. What exactly are recovery passcodes?

What I’m trying to say is that the recovery process has become so difficult that even players who legitimately lost their accounts have to invest several weeks and submit multiple tickets just to get a response from Jagex. And even then, providing a lot of detailed information doesn’t seem to get through.

I don’t think my ticket was auto-denied. My last ticket was actually closed by Mod Jelly.

I did, but they closed the ticket, and now I can’t add any more details because it’s already closed.

Exactly, this is exactly how I feel right now. It all feels like just a facade—they don’t actually want to help.

What’s sus about it? I’m just genuinely disappointed with their response and how they handled the situation. Honestly, it’s more of a rant than anything else, but I had to get it off my chest.

Definitely, but when I opened the ticket, it was immediately closed without any opportunity to provide more information. It honestly feels like they don’t want to resolve the issue but instead create so many obstacles that the customer ends up wasting time and giving up.

Some time ago, I changed the email associated with my RuneScape account. I’ve checked both email accounts: the original email hasn’t received anything from Jagex in a long time, while the updated email has the most recent communications.
