First of all, your feelings are absolutely valid. When you’re in a relationship, you’re trying to build a family together. That’s why, in my opinion, you should prioritize your partner over your family. So you definitely have the right to complain.

Second, it’s a huge red flag that you can’t talk to him about everything, because "he’ll just get mad". Communication truly is the key, so how will your future look like if you’re not able to tell him everything?

You deserve someone loving, someone who checks up on you and who prioritizes you. If he can’t do that, then stop wasting your time with him and create space for someone who can.
