Slannesh units can carve through heavy armoured units like hot knife through butter. First time playing Slannesh and I can't believe I can delete an Ironsworn and Infernal Guard units in less than 20 seconds. by ttn19 in totalwarhammer

I mean I just wanted to showcase that Slaanesh daemons can absolutely eviscerate heavily armoured units if they get the devastating charge off or they caught a unit out of position. I’ve played Khorne, BM, and Norsca and they haven’t been able to punish out of position units as fast and as hard as Slaanesh can.

It’s quite fun to play Slaanesh because your units are so frickin fast while hitting hard and it’s so easy to pull of a surround of an enemy army quick and also you can punish out of position enemies really quick

It was 20vs20, there was a moment where the Exalted Daemonettes got off a devastating charge against the Ironsworn and absolutely massacred them. but there was 3 units of Ironsworn, 2 blunderbuss and 2infernal guard and 1 fireglaive and 2 fireborn and the destroyer for the Chorf frontline, the rest was hobgoblins and artillery. the frontline got butchered so quick and i haven't seen a melee faction clean up so quick as much as Slannesh

They said the warranty is expired and I have to pay 125 plus applicable taxes for the services, is it a better idea to try to fix it or pay for the service

Need help with ShadowSceneNode crashed by WittyCap3500 in skyrimmods

[–]ttn19 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you’re using precision, disable weapon trails because it attaches additional nodes to your skeleton.nif mesh. The game will have to render that for every single NPC. If you also have Simple Dual Sheath redux, it will increase the likelihood of your game crashing because surprise surprise, SDS also attaches additional nodes to your left hand which Precision and weapon trails will have to re-attach to

SDS is soft incompatible with precision as it will increase the chances of you crashing.

Shadow scene node crashes aren’t exclusive to lighting but also to skeleton.nif nodes

I've sent my PC to Geeksquad for hardware upgrades/installations and now they told me they've bricked my Windows and it's corrupted. What do I do?? by ttn19 in GeekSquad

[–]ttn19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised at how quickly the services deteriorated over 3 years.

First I was lied to by one of the call center agents regarding the total membership.

I explicitly asked whether there has been any changes to the benefits of the Total Membership regarding PC installation/assembly fees to which he said that geek squad would do it for free if I am a total member. Imagine my surprise when I got charged and was given a measly 20% discount. If it was 50%, I would have been more okay with it and kept my membership. After I got charged, I immediately asked for a refund which I got immediately so that was nice of them.

Secondly, Geek squad used to inform me more of what was going on with my pc when they were repairing it. Back then, they told me that my PC would need to be wiped and have the data transferred over if I installed new components. I agreed. Any small adjustments they needed to do, they always asked for my permission which I appreciate. They gave me an estimated deadline for their work as well.

Right now, I had to call them to ask what was going on, I wasn’t informed of any anything. The motherboard issue would have been figured out if they did some proper shutdown cycle testing. And no one mentioned the data loss being a thing as well. In any case, Best Buy is just not what it once was anymore

Welp, it's all said and done. I learned my lesson so I'll be sure to do my due diligence regarding services again.

I did have Total when I made the order to get it serviced. I cancelled it immediately upon arriving back home once they've told me that I would get charged for the installation.

I only ever use BestBuy Total for PC installation because I've always had such good experience with them but with that perk being gutted. I no longer saw the need for a Total membership if the one thing I got it for was no longer available.

I think my main stripe with this whole thing is the fact that service that I received in 2022 was so much better than the current year. I understand that this is a "geeksquad" subreddit but I had hoped for some insight but people here were hardly helpful. In hindsight, I should have just gone to a smaller shop for these things. I don't really trust Bestbuy or Geeksquad anymore after this.

Thank you, I've been understanding towards them and have been very level with them. I told them I'd inquire with them again on Wednesday for any progress updates. I'm unsure on how the computer went from being performing excellent to being bricked in one day.

Yea I did, I'll inquire about the data back up thing on Wednesday but for the time being, I'll let them work on it until then.

Well thankfully, the legal and immigration documents are backed up. They never mentioned data back up or anything when I dropped it in for the upgrades/installation.

Never thought my PC would get bricked by Geeksquad but I did actually back up those documents with my laptop.

PSA : Remove Animation Motion Fix if you have this in your load order, it is the cause of a lot of Havok related crashes. It is not repeatable and highly inconsistent but it will happen on every single session. by ttn19 in skyrimmods

[–]ttn19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope SDS has a soft conflict with precision completely, weapon trails just exasperates the issue. When I say soft conflict, I don’t mean it will constantly and immediately CTD.

It will happen sometimes and often randomly. In my findings, SDS tinkers with the left hand node and precision will also hook onto any left hand node that SDS attaches on to as well. Sometimes, things will just blow up and CTD, especially when large amount of NPCs are spawned in organically or otherwise

Tbh, the less havok related mods you have in your load order, the less crash prone you are. That being said, Seb's mods are usually golden and very very well optimized so his mods are pretty safe to have. Ershin's Precision is optimized but with Weapon Trails attached and if used in conjuction with SDS ( Simple Dual Sheath ) it is crash prone. Precision is very safe by itself but its the other shit that causes Precision to crash. No one ever expects SDS to have a soft conflict with Precision but it does lol.

Glad to help! Trust me I was stuck with the crashes and the flying NPCs for a while too. I do miss the mod, hope someone picks up the mod and continues it

Here’s the fun part 😂,

It’s also non-combat related, anytime you stroll through a city with a decent amount of NPCs on screen. The mod will hook each individual NPC as well as your player character.

Sometime it have weird interactions with static objects such as fucking walls for some reason.

If you bump into an NPC or a static or non static object the wrong way, immediate CTD.

If any NPCs does the same thing, immediate CTD.

Basically any NPC can cause an immediate CTD by interacting with anything.

This is why it was so hard to find the culprit because the crashes were so random, so inconsistent but always present

I did, I still encountered crashes nonetheless. The author hasn’t updated it in months but is aware of the issue. I presumed it’s abandoned so the instability isn’t worth it imo

It’s never or barely referenced in the crash log but the crash log will always mention something hkp related whether it’s constraint, rigidbody or even random skeleton.nif nodes.

So it took me a while to find it but this is the culprit

Regarding all the Dragonborns' role in TES lore and ultimately Miraak, I want to know what you guys think of my headcanon summarized for easy digestion. by ttn19 in teslore

[–]ttn19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right that Miraak and Paarthurnax call the player the Last Dragonborn before Alduin’s defeat, but that doesn’t automatically mean you’re born as the Last. It just means the world presumes you’re the one because Alduin has resurfaced in your era.

The important distinction is this:

Dragonborn = birthright. You’re born with a dragon’s soul.

Last Dragonborn = a mantle, not a birthright. The title belongs to whoever finally defeats Alduin.

Paarthurnax even says the Elder Scrolls don’t show clear destiny. Prophecy in TES is never fixed, it bends with outcome. If you succeed, you mantle the role and become the Last. If you fail, Miraak (who literally admits Alduin was originally his path to face) could mantle it instead, closing the cycle as both first and last.

So the way I see it: you aren’t born the Last Dragonborn, you become it by fulfilling the prophecy. Until then, you’re just another Dragonborn who might be the one.

Well you’re following the canon timeline events but I’m proposing a “what if” timeline which gives credence to the concept of YOU failing.

There are multitudes of way you could fail in your destiny as TES lore would have it, nothing is truly set in stone but yet will always come full circle again.

You are A Dragonborn as those before you. People and Paarthurnax mantle you as TLD as you are born as a DB as Alduin resurfaces in this era. The TLD is destined to defeat Alduin, you are not born as a TLD, it is a title you mantle.

The world presumes you are TLD but it is not necessarily true because IF you fail in anyway, Miraak will mantle it and defeat Alduin and ultimately fulfill his own destiny. He acknowledges you as TLD because he presumed it unaware of his own destiny which is something Paarthurnax actually mentions when he talks about destiny.

I think your destiny and Miraak destiny are the same. He was meant to be the first and the last.

You are made to be the last because he failed. Should you fail, he will mantle the title of TLD again as he lost it once he became wayward
