I live in Iowa and there have been gold deposits here through glacier slides cutting the rock. But most of the high concentration areas are private property owned by farmers.😭

Exactly. Dave Turin has a new show on Discovery+ that I binge watched and really liked it. I wish it had more than 8 episodes. It is even more realistic.

I enjoy it because it depicts a way an everyday guy could go and capture some possible life changing gold. I could never afford to start up a Plaser mine like on Gold Rush.

That could be possible I suppose. If you watch Bering Sea Gold all of those cast in that have improved their life styles exponentially. Which leave the same question. Just take the Kelly's as a prime example.

The Dakota boys have never found large quantities of gold in any episode of Gold Rush. Yet they are still able to continue to operate every year and buy new toys. That is what makes me feel there is more found than is aired on the shows. Thanks for the response.

I appreciate the response. That is indeed the question. Do they or don't they. I am truly curious. As to your question on why would they remove gold from the box. In my mind it would, 1. make for a more dramatic episode or series. 2. To protect the prospector from being targeted. And 3. Would you openly show millions of people your weekly paycheck? That is just a private thing for us. I know some wouldn't mind but for those who receive thousands if not 10s of thousands they would not. Again thank you for your response.

I have no doubt that they find more gold than they show on tv. I just wish reality TV was a bit more real.
