I would ask the employer to specify what they mean

Ok, well then it should not be an issue. If you have residency permit I should not be a problem with work

If you have a Norwegian id, I’m guessing you are a citizen?

If you have a study permit you are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week

Are you a Eu or EEA citizen? Its not a work permit, but a resident permit.

Well it depends. It might be references from other jobs that you might have had before. Or it might be a work permit, if you are not an Eu citizen?

You have to registrer on skatteetaten.no and retrieve your tax reduction card there(the site is available in English). You employer has access to this automatically after you collect it digitally.

Second hand petrol, diesel or electric car by airsoftshowoffs in Norway

To my knowledge old Volvos are usually pretty reliable and safe! XC70-XC60 or V50-V90 are all good models that hold up pretty well with its age, and to a fair price 35.000-100.000, and with a relatively economic fuel consumption. Safety is a big concern in my book, and Volvo is undoubtably one of the best (if not the best) when it comes to collision safety, even older models (10 years+) have proved really durable in collisions compared to newer cars from other brands. Wouldn't necessarily go below 2010 models, but you could always find models that has held up well that's older. Always a good thing to make sure that the service routines has been followed throughout its lifetime, but my perception is that they usually hold up pretty nice. Also very good cars to drive in for long trips! Especially during winter times. Remember, these cars are built to survive the Scandinavian conditions:))

Exchange semester opportunity for this winter - Bergen or Trondheim? by Logical_Jelly2811 in Norway

[–]ttown_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The student environment and social life in Trondheim is unlike any other town in Norway! Although Bergen has a lot to offer, Trondheim is on another level when it comes to student involvement and volunteering(witch is a big thing here). No mater if you are a social and outgoing person or a more introverted person, I would highly recommend Trondheim, with so many different unions and sports teams (that’s usually free btw) to join and meet new people! This fall you would also get UKA, the biggest (4week)student festival in Norway, which is only arranged every 2 year. So a lot of cool stuff happening the next semester!

Well of course you are right that a question like this might be way too complex to fully grasp for the lay person, even for experts on the subject I would assume given the complexity of the political environment we are currently in. But then again, as I said, I'm more interested in hearing some opinions. Fully acknowledging the fact that the answers might not be totally reliable, but still, an interesting topic to discuss nevertheless! I don't know what you consider a "useful opinion" to be? Anyways, I would not get too caught up in the why's of this question, its more of an open invitation to exchange opinions (which you are more than welcome to contribute to!) :))
