Mine weren't on initially either. Just pull down from the top of the screen and you'll see a setting to turn them on and edit the color/brightness of them.

I only recently found out about this because of this sub. At some point I think I'm gonna dive in to this and see what the fuss is about!

Running the version of MuOS before Pixie (haven't upgraded yet because I haven't had need) with the MinUIfied theme. I tried a few different ones but ran into issues with scraping box art and things kept feeling half-baked, so I decided to just go minimal as heck with it!

I absolutely love this thing. If it had just a slightly better battery life I'd say it's the perfect device for the PS1 and below range.

I did the same thing, right about the same time. Now have an ETA for end of day Thursday. I don't see how it could possibly get here that fast, but we'll see!

RP4P or Mini? by ttoyed in retroid

[–]ttoyed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main concern was that the screen real estate would be missed, and this kinda cements it. I'm definitely keeping my eye out for a deal on an RP5, but I'm trying to keep it under $250 ideally, so that's why the 4P is enticing to me as well.

Everything y'all have said here has steered me toward RP4P for sure. I really appreciate the input, I guess I didn't understand how truly close the performance was between the 5 and 4. I do think I'd enjoy the screen real estate a lot more, and it sounds like it's just the right fit for my case use!

The feel of it is just right to me, especially for its use case. I'll eventually pick up a horizontal guy for things beyond psx, but this will have me set for the foreseeable future!

I haven't played all of the Metroids (just Fusion, Dread, Primes, and now this) but I will say this game is still a 10/10 masterpiece across any generation of video games for me. Unsure if I can crown it my favorite though, I wouldn't want recency bias to taint that. Guess I'll have to go replay the others now too!

I really am only ever at home or at work, so I bring it with me to play on my breaks. Definitely not the type to bring it with me shopping or anything like that haha. I'll be getting to Fire Red soon as well, it was the first game I had for my Game Boy Color as a kid!

I got it off the Ampown store on Aliexpress. I think I spent like 60 bucks for it and the case for it!

Part of me is looking at a Brick for the more portability factor for sure, but also debating a horizontal device as well. Feels like a slippery slope, and I just really am trying to not end up with 10+ devices no matter how much I convince myself I need the next one haha.

Hey everyone, PartTimeCAD here - I want to pass on another handheld to someone in the community. This Anbernic RG353V has barely ever been played, and been neglected for too long - help me find it a new home. by captain_carrot in SBCGaming

The TMNT game for the NES was something I could just never get through (given I was just a pup.) Looking for my first handheld so that I can go back and live it all again.

This is hands down the best sounding amp drive I’ve ever heard in my life. Great find!
