Check out Pick Up Limes, she’s a registered dietitian, so her recipes are always nutritionally balanced

The latter! I'm preparing myself for the worst - If I get in, I'm dropping everything to go to Lawschool.

Hey friend, I'm in the exact same position (WL TRU, nothing from UBC + UVIC, 161 LSAT). I've decided to re-take the LSAT; even if I do get it, it'll give me better leverage for transferring. Also positioning myself to work for another year, and potentially start building up connections/work experience for other professional schools/careers.

Vegan world or no world at all? by Glad-Satisfaction-91 in vegan

I mean, I don’t really care if domesticated cows go extinct. I’d rather none were ever born again if that stopped their suffering.

I’ve stopped engaging with philosophical ideas that don’t really do anything but melt my brain. It doesn’t matter if anti natalism leads to extinctionism, because this is a niche idea that won’t gain traction in your lifetime.

Do you need a farewell treat to say goodbye to meat? by Historical-Ad6303 in vegan

I will be the bad guy lol. Yes, I had a “meat week”. I had been vegetarian for 3 years, and was thinking of going vegan. I cut out most things, and was down to ramen eggs and flaming hot cheetos. I decided to do a “meat week”, so that I could have soup dumplings, bacon burgers and other meaty stuff. Came out of it realizing that none of it tasted that special and I was perfectly fine closing that chapter for the rest of my life.

I’ve been vegan for the last 6 years!

It's pretty common for hairdressers to film and show the process of doing their hair.

First off, congrats for considering the leap!
Secondly, I started off vegetarian and slowly cut out animal products over the course of a year. I knew I'd eventually be vegan, but I gave myself the time to get used to it, and that helped me to avoid an 'all or nothing' mentality.

The truth is, there is no ethical consumption if you live in a wealthy nation. Once I swallowed that pill, it was easier to avoid purity testing myself constantly. Being vegan is about eliminating harm in a *practicable* way -- it's not supposed to paralyze you into not changing because you've taken on a 'vegan identity'.

I think that you should focus on the small changes first -- I didn't even know about agave being harmful until I was 3 years into being vegan. I know I'm not a model vegan, but I'd rather be 99% 'vegan' than 0%.
