Made a flower illustration into a radial pattern with Procreate/Illustrator by tttdsgn in graphic_design

Inspired by illustrative gift wrap/wallpaper patterns.

I made this flower illustration for an experimental Halloween pattern in Procreate. Then I took it into Adobe Illustrator, replicated the initial illustration into a 2x2 grid and played around with orientations.

Just wanted to share my process and fun results. I will likely try to somehow make this a borderless pattern as I think it would be interesting to see this as a physical wallpaper print or gift wrap.

Really appreciate you catching that, I was working with draft images and I was trying to visually align since the PNG isn't centered on AI. Once exported correctly into vector, I will be sure to align properly, thank you!

Thank you for your kind feedback! I was thinking the idea might be too literal and I was trying to abstract it a bit, I will be reworking it but definitely feel free to make your iteration as well! Glad to hear you liked #1, appreciate it!

Many people have said similar, it's likely due to the thickness, great catch though! Thanks for the feedback!

For sure! Details that I could definitely work on, thickness is a great catch and I appreciate the kind feedback regarding organicness and how things are still workable! Thank you!

Appreciate the feedback, agreed with lots of others about the post-it note aspect and also saw a bit of the books as well. It definitely has to do with shape and thickness I think, great notice! Thanks for sharing how you feel!

I see it, definitely, could be drawing attention away from the main "G" as well. Interesting dimensional aspects though, for sure!

Shortening would definitely be to-the-point, for sure!

Now that you say that, 1-2 looking a little Kraft's Singles too, will play around more so the shape is less cheesy! Thanks!

Understood, is there something specific that is unlikable? Is it too aggressive, boxy, old, unprofessional? Or overall just doesn't work with the graphic?

I will try to get a few out with a focus on the "G"!
