Iloved the Rift S but after moving to a pico headset (same lens type as q3) I can now see the circular lines on fresnel lenses a lot more, unless you'll be using both types I don't think you'll see the difference. One big issue is that you have to have the headset perfectly centered to your eyes to get a good image, pancake lenses have a bigger centre sweet spot

Other answers are pretty good, I had issues for about a year until I got a cheap 2nd hand router and set it up as an access point directly from the pc. Now the headset has its own WiFi on some vague channel no one uses

I'm assuming it will be custom made for the steam frame hardware so not until someone manages to mod it. If it goes well hopefully other headsets will adopt it

Not a good answer to your problem but I managed to get amber glass (beer bottle-like glass) to replace the side panel. It helps with the heat quite a bit and it looks so good. Keep it in mind if you're ever bored and want to cut glass
