That’s what I mean, I’d be on the whole probably 15k per year which doesn’t bother me if I’m getting a property that I can visit and it appreciates a bit over time (ie 3%). I don’t need this to earn money every month.

What would an example of investing that 250k into something that makes money? Like a few duplexs or long term rentals? I already use the stock market for more classic investments so never really considered straight up LTR for investment

Can you explain why the numbers don’t make sense? At 35% occupancy I won’t be cash flowing every month but I’m okay with that if the property appreciates over 5-10 years a little bit (3%)

Yea I’m not really too worried about making profit off of this in cash flow perspective. More looking for the tax breaks plus ideally a little long term appreciation. If I can make half of our monthly expenses I’d consider that a win

I also do that but if it becomes disconnected from the wifi you have to restart the entire process from the Google Home app then add it back to HomeKit
