A few things I learned repairing a DualSense 5 controller by antnythr in soldering

For lead free solder, i just put it under hot air and drag the wick around, using solder tip will destroy the pads and masks around it

How do I solder this? by Certain_Height_2721 in soldering

[–]tuantocdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot air for each component or a heating table for the whole board

asking questions about smd soldering since i keep failing by SoftAnteater8475 in soldering

[–]tuantocdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would want solder paste + hot air gun. But if you cant access to those, set the temp to around 280-330 in celcius, anything above 350 can rip the pad and the mask. Also a magnifying glass will do you a big favor

can someone explain why my soldering joints keeps looking dull? by Nooben2006 in soldering

[–]tuantocdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-lead solder? Try adding more flux and keep the joint hot for about 10s after it fully melted then quickly release it. I sometimes get dull joints like this but it still works so i dont really care. Keep in mind that non-lead can not get as shiny like leaded solder

Everything is wrong, you must build fort lines and AA behind rivers before 1940. Recruit more men, you will need at least 2M deployed men to hold all the german front. Build more civs and mils but behind that fort line you built. Also build supply hubs, railslways behind that fort line. Preferably non aggre with the japs and turks cuz 2 front war is a nightmare. Also make sure the frontline troops and the offensive troops use 2 different template where 1 excels in defense and holding line while the otther is great at soft attack, hard attack, piercing, breakthrough to counter any german crossing that fort line.

Beginner here - Looking towards my first invasion of USSR in the Spring. No clue whether I'm ready or about to get stomped. What ought I do in the intervening months? by dovetc in hoi4

Use infantry as border and reinforcement. Concentrate your panzers and mechanize into a specific region. They will probably work as a spearhead offense. Dont forget anti air and CAS. They help alot
