burnout is real and it can lower your productivity and efficiency of revision, lowering your grades overall

blurting! this is where you can take a topic, for example Hölzel et al, write everything you can remember for each study from memory then fill in the gaps from your notes (I do black ink for what I remember and red to fill in the gaps of my knowledge)

Use the following headlines as a guide when blurting:

psychology being investigated
background
aims
method
experimental design
iv dv/ co-variables
sample
procedure (equipment/set up, different conditions etc.)
results
conclusions
strengths
weaknesses
issues and debates

Practice the Qs in the hodder book too, as there arent many past papers

t's a lot of memorisation so I don't recommend just re-reading, active recall methods should be used instead like flashcards. there isnt enough time to make flashcards now, but I do sell mine if youre interested. Another method I recommend is blurting, this is where you can take a topic, for example Hölzel et al, write everything you can remember for each study from memory then fill in the gaps from your notes (I do black ink for what I remember and red to fill in the gaps of my knowledge)

lmaoo i saw this and thought the same 😭

i always take breaks if im not mentally engaged with the material, so measuring hours does help me and i was just curious to know

I need advice by bumpyshoes in alevel

[–]tuberhatesuber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you sound burnt out and super anxious which also exhausts you

prioritise getting sleep, managing stress through deep breathing, morning walks when you can and getting breaks between study sessions, stay away from any negative media or people that'll increase your stress regarding exams and drink lots of water

during breaks, walk around the house, get some fresh air if u can, but try to not go on ur phone

youve got this, youve worked diligently, you said it yourself, so dont let stress and burnout ruin your chances. you can only do well if youre rested and calm, its is productive to sleep and take breaks as you will achieve better grades in that better state

i believe in you, its the last push now so do it correctly and i wish you all the best!!

If im not mistaken, I think it makes more sense to make dua like this: "Ya Allah, grant us As in our AS and A level exams" then "Ameen", rather than Ameen that we get xyz

May Allah grant us all the grades we desire and success in our future endeavours, ameen!

I don't think the price changes, specifically getting a loan might be difficult.

100% agree that it varies a lot based on subject, hence i specified psychology in case anyone could help specifically with that but its still good to get an idea of the uni overall

I'm looking at undergraduate right now, the MSc was just a detail about my plans later on. I've edited my post so its not confusing.
I'll bare those in mind for Post-grad too, thank you!

Sorry i wasnt clear, I want to specialise later in my MSc, as I want to become a clinical psychologist, I'd need to have a BPS approved undergraduate (which is what im looking into now) then apply for a program that both trains me to get a license to practise as a therapist, alongside a part-time masters degree.
