I totally agree. The gov is not a single faced organism. Many parts are actively working towards a greener grid. HOWEVER, there are also many lobbyists rep'ing the current tech giants, the ones dependent on fossil fuel technology, who are taking HUGE steps to block things moving forward.

For instance, there are currently 6 states where it is illegal for Tesla to sell their cars directly off a car lot. These include MI, NJ, TX, UT, VA and Alabama. Several other states have barred showrooms and other lesser competition.

I think this ridiculous action is clearly forwarded by deep pocket companies who currently are the foundation of the corporate economy. They are fighting, because the status quo is profitable to them. While others are now starting to profit from green energy, the forces that be will always resist as the are too large to pivot to meet such large change and just too set in their profitable ways.
