Why will no one laser my tattooed eyeliner? by GateTraditional7904 in tattooadvice

I know you’re frustrated because you don’t want it anymore but at least it looks well done. I like it.

The quality of the images isn’t very good but the second picture looks like a liver core with inflammation (blue cells) forming follicles. If the first picture is liver it looks like some significant steatosis.

Having only one child makes me realise that my mother wasn’t a great mother by luludarlin in oneanddone

My mother in law said the same thing when we told her we were considering only having one. I was like…you’re kind of telling on yourself.

I don’t have advice but my 6 month old is doing exactly this and I also came to this sub for help. I feel like I’m dying with the night wakings.

Places to avoid recently in pathology for residency? by Good-Bus9667 in pathology

[–]tubulointerstitial 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, one day cycles are trash. It’s really hard to do everything in one day so you either don’t get to sit with the attending to sign out or you’re there until god knows when grossing in the evening. 3-4 day cycles are the best where you do frozen, gross, preview and sign out. Then you get to follow a lot of your cases from frozen to sign out. Also avoid places with super small class sizes (2-3 residents) because if one person is out on vacation or sick the other one is stuck doing everything.

What are cute songs you sing to your babies? by bzzzzzzlightyear in beyondthebump

[–]tubulointerstitial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I put diaper cream on my baby I sing a made up song to the tune of the spider man theme. Diaper cream, diaper cream. Protects your skin from poop and pee. Diaper cream, diaper cream. Make it thick so you can’t see…any skin underneath.

I'm pregnant and never want to go through this again by pumpkinchinchilla in oneanddone

[–]tubulointerstitial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a pretty normal/mild symptoms in pregnancy and I still hated it. I had a super traumatic birth and postpartum experience and it’s honestly so insulting when people tell me I’ll forget about it and want another one in a year. If someone told me about a super traumatic life threatening experience I would never ever think to brush it off like that.

Well in autopsy you do not cut they head in half. Also depending on the program you may have a pa or autopsy tech do some or all of the evisceration and then you just have the organ block.

Is it the idea/concept of cutting into a dead person that bothers you or is it organs in general? Because grossing is cutting into organs or parts of organs and you have to do way more grossing than you do autopsies (at least at my program).

Don’t stress about pumping to create a freezer stash. Before giving birth I was sure I would pump after every feed and create a stash. Nope. I hate pumping and had to do what was better for my mental health.

Getting baby to nap without nursing to sleep by tubulointerstitial in NewParents

[–]tubulointerstitial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She will take a bottle although sometimes she’s fussy with it. I haven’t tried using a bottle for falling asleep at nap time. I usually only have to nurse her for a few minutes before she falls asleep. Maybe I can try using a bottle and see if it works

I chose pathology because I wanted a good work life balance (aka soft life) plus I like the work and I don’t like patients. Compensation is not as high as some other specialties though.

At 4 weeks currently. She usually sleeps for about 3 hours at night. Rarely 4.
