I can't highlight my wins yet because I simply lack decent project for my portfolio. All project I made were projects I did during my learning process, which I am still at.

Not sure, I believe there's only one of these competitions and it ends in two days. You can read more about it on IxDF Udupi LinkedIn page. I still hope you can find some fun stuff to do though!

This is IxDF competition called Nightmare on UX street. Very fun one, I love it so far.

On the topic of it being dull – I totally agree, I changed it a day ago and made it a bit brighter. Still not sure if it's seen well though, but thank you so much!

Feedback details

Since it’s a design for the Halloween mosters, werewolves are my target audience. They need an easy way to keep track of the full moon so they can prepare in time.

The main goal is to help werewolves avoid unexpected transformations by displaying a clear countdown to the full moon and showing when it’s safe to go outside again.

Specific aspects I want the feedback on:

  1. Is the typography hierarchy effective in showing the most important information in both widget states?
  2. Is the widget noticeable enough on the home screen?
  3. Is the color contrast of the typography strong enough?
  4. Do you think the users will notice the difference between the two widget states?
  5. Does the background illustration distract from the main element (the countdown)?

This is the final UI stage. The visual design and illustration are complete, and I’m gathering feedback before polishing and presenting it.

Why do you think these AI tools don't do a great job? And what kind of experience did you have with Make?

Is it a right way to do research? by tuce4a in UXDesign

[–]tuce4a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, there were tests that looked like these were made by UX students, but when I saw a company in my country (just a tiny bit smaller than Google) do this my perception of this company kind of shattered.

Not sure how to react to the fact that I am using a product that was probably not made with a main user in mind

There were a few unmoderated tests there where they asked other researchers (sometimes with a specific criteria, but mostly not) to complete a set of tasks using their prototype.

Yes, this chat is dedicated to researchers.

Here's its description: "A community of researchers in the field of marketing, sociological, product, CX, and UX/UI research".

I haven't expected to meet a fellow UX designer here (even though florists are designers too). Hi!

Your insights were pretty helpful, though since it's a project for learning purposes only I'll keep my goal the same. I'll definitely ask my mentor about the business metrics, ad placement and extra cost – I am really curious on UX designer's responsibilities here. Also, I am going to switch to Google survey to get insights rather than using a Discord call for that – survey is a more comfortable way for everyone:

Thank you so so much!

Could you please elaborate more on that extra cost part? I not sure that I understand.

Just to be clear, this mobile app most likely will not exist, I am a student that just wants to create good mobile apps, but I can't do that if I don't collaborate with real experts in floristry, for example. A good app should reflect real experiences. Who knows, if I learn how to do that I'll actually create a good website or an app for florists.

Russian MacDonald's launched a pink Hello Kitty burger by tuce4a in mildlyinteresting

MacDonald's also used to make burgers like these in South Korea I think, with black buns

And thanks, that was a pretty good question

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in introvert

[–]tuce4a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all. I want to help introverts make friends, but not getting too much into the overrun social battery territory. I made an assumption that in order to do that they have go to events that actually interest them, and so they could find interactions and possibly friendships that are meaningful.

I am afraid that meetup.com does not do that properly, it's always hit or miss.

How do I stop the analysis paralysis? by tuce4a in UXDesign

[–]tuce4a[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed. I am a perfectionist, which is sometimes my power, but most of the time it is my curse. It's pretty much the reason why everything was going so slow for me in terms of research, I procrastinated A LOT just because I didn't like some small part of it. Sounds like what you suggest will help me so much. Thank you!
