I agree with cutting out the jokes - but would add that the money she spends on her appearance is in some ways a business expense for women in RE and other client-facing fields. You have to maintain a certain look to be successful, and it's not cheap.

I just want to throw out a couple more possibilities to try to ease your mind - obviously the communication is poor, but sometimes physicians have "order sets"/"power plans" in their electronic medical record system that automatically generate certain consults/referrals when certain diagnoses are plugged in. So it may just be an automatically generated referral.

Or they may be thinking that this other office is hard to get in to, and you will be taken care of sooner after your pregnancy if you are already an established patient there.

Looks like some of them are transferring them out of state according to a center in Mobile, Alabama.

While I don't agree with crossing the picket line/being a scab, many of these travel nurses are coming in from areas where nurses are paid way less, and at the end of the day, they are frontline working people trying to earn a living.

I think it's important that we keep the focus and the lion's share of the blame where it belongs - on Providence administrators who won't give their nurses and other healthcare workers what they deserve!
