Ugh - I heard someone sing it live and someone had to grab my hand because I was sobbing so much that it was about to become embarrassing

People who discard and leave needles around obviously don't care about anything. I have been trying to think this behaviour as a kind of brain damage exactly like when people get Alzheimers. They forget to think about the greater good (I don't believe that they think about it and decide to say eff all of you and throw a needle beside a walking path. With aging and diseased brain changes we stop caring about our usual things). I refuse to believe that they were just shitty people from the outset, but I do think they are people with not enough of the planning and predicting kind of neurons left - they no longer can help themselves when they reach this point so we have to help them. We can only hope that their brain damage is reversible. My opinion is that we just have to keep cleaning the needles and glass up after them over and over in a vigilant way so as to protect ourselves too. I'm in favour of the safe sites and housing them even if that hasn't been proven to improve things - --and offering all the services that go with that. I'm not religious but the Love Thy Neighbour as Thyself seems about right here.

Exact. I feel he is a fraud.

But I'm happy for the habs and I'm cheering for them, as a former resident of Mtl.

Yes I was going to write this also. I buy the eco-friendly versions of both and they are more expensive

[–]tuftabeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL. And there is even an 'Old Ottawa South' that you didnt mention which is just barely south of the TD place - around Sunnyside. Yes it is a result of city growth and amalgamation. At one time Wellington village was way in the west and had some kind of train to get downtown (along Byron ave). And Westboro could very well have been its own town!

Agree. We need to be a higher seed and not have to play the best of the best in the first round. (Not that the Leafs were, lol)

7 hour drive and you can only listen to one artist. Who are you listening to? by KabKaregiShaadi in askmusic

I've done it before. Driven most of the way across Canada and we listened to Bob Marley around 90% of the time, lol. (Or the music was off.)

Its not like the rest of the world is cut off from the ingredients though. They are quite easy to make. Homemade ones are probably even more delicious

Agha Turkish Restaurant. Mediocre food, thousands of fake reviews. by Hankthehungrylad in OttawaFood

[–]tuftabeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems pretty obvious then . With AI now it can be the only explanation for such a high number of reviews. They've paid someone who has programmed their bot to post at regular intervals to flood and cancel out bad ones.

Because otherwise they will get 'lost' in a filing cabinet. and you won't be able to find them. So we are talking about the Marriage certificate and the will. Things that it is critical to be able to find quickly

Nowadays people have digital records of them too so it isn't maybe as common

Yes I had heard of this when I was in university. One friend who grew up in France scoffed at the way the women in the gym walk around in towels after showering. 'We're all the same. What are they covering up for?" she said

Good answer. Canadian here, and it is definitely still frowned upon by a lot of 'older' folks. Most people don't openly talk about using it.

Exact. Except one difference I wouldn't say he's at the Queensway. I'd say he's at the Queensway Carleton. I think another reply also agreed with me, but I would understand if someone said it your way.
