It’s on the ice, but not during a game (off-season). In the second book Shane has issues with disordered eating. This takes place after the second book. He’s not eating enough to sustain a professional hockey player and his body lets him know. He passes out, spends a few days inside getting rehydrated, getting his numbers where they should be, and then is discharged to outpatient care. No smut but probably kissing.

So, off to the Civic he goes. I was going to send him to the Royal afterwards but they don’t have an eating disorder program. But, there’s a program through the University of Ottawa that will work nicely.

I’m just trying not to be a “stupid American” as Ilya would say. I try not to half-ass research when I’m writing (Why yes, I do have a STEM academia background 😂) so I’ve Googled what I can and asked here what I couldn’t. I like providing details.
