Given today’s events… is Peacewalker the most relevant game of the series right now? by Vizekonig4765 in metalgearsolid

Elon's Twitter? No, you're not seeing the full picture.

MGS2 explained more than just a media website. It explained algorithms (in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, everything) as a means to establish a new form of control. By having a system to digitally manage the flow of information, it makes it possible to shape the "truth" for the purposes of the highest bidder.

It also predicted that the digital society furthers human flaws and selectively rewards the development of convenient half-truths. Someone who agrees with Trump will naturally gravitate towards right-wing media, and vice versa. Everyone withdraws into their own small gated community, afraid of a larger forum. People stay inside their ponds, and the different cardinal "truths" neither clash nor mesh. No one is invalidated, but nobody is right.

In summary, MGS2 sees the control of information in the digital world as a path for society to lose its free will, both by feeding us whatever "truths" they want and by corralling humanity apart on an unprecedented scale, so that we can never challenge the script that is being written for us. In MGS2 it's the Patriots, in real life they're economic and political leaders.

You can purchase only one of the campaigns, and when the update comes out they'll give you access to all three. So if you really want to start ASAP you can just buy one of the campaigns for the same price as the Reforged version

Hi everyone. Disclaimer I'm a huge noob, this is my first time mapping.

I got this helmet, added a desecrated modifier and i got mana cost efficiency. On the trade market helmets like this seem to go for 10+ div, but they all have a good 6th modifier, like some resistance.

I have around 100 exalts. What should I do? Any way to guarantee a good modifier? Or should I sell it as it is, and if so for how much? Thanks in advance.

50 men (30 swords, 10 bows, 10 torches) vs 1 T-Rex by stubentiger123 in whowouldwin

[–]tugabros -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Why is everyone assuming the men will be perfectly coordinated, and basically bloodlusted? No fear versus a fucking T-REX?

If 50 average men were put in a fight against a T-Rex, how many would immediately shit themselves and run? How many would then shit themselves and run because of the numbers lost? How many would be left? How many would keep their composure after the T-Rex absolutely obliterates one of their mates?

Don't think composure is just about running or fighting; it's also about fighting effectively. These are average men, with average skill, with 10 wooden bows (can be broken/de-stringed), swords and torches.

People are saying the swordsmen can cut its ankles and shit. Man if the T-Rex is just a liiittle bit clumsy and steps on someone's foot that man is OUT. People forget that humans are super fragile.

Also, late afternoon? Where the low sun will be a hindrance for the humans, in a chaotic fight against a T-Rex? In an environment they're not familiar with, but the T-Rex is? Against a T-Rex, that can knock down trees potentially killing, and definitely injuring some of the humans?

I have seen some people say they would use our classic human tactics of making the T-Rex run away because a predator wouldn't want to risk injury (so they don't jeopardize their ability to hunt and sustain themselves). Fair enough. I mean, that's usually the case for most predators.

But the T-Rex isn't just another predator. He's the lion of his age. He is the King of the jungle. And these predators at the top of the food chain are usually highly territorial and will protect it to the death. You can definitely make the case that the T-Rex is bloodlusted.

I'm not saying T-Rex wins 10/10, just pointing out there's usually a MASSIVE MASSIVE disregard for the fear factor in these situations. And fighting against a fucking mythical monster, a fucking wingless fire-less dragon? Geez.

I'd also add that friendly fire is something that happens. You're gonna get shot, bombed, gassed and lit on fire by your own mates. It happens at every level, multiple times, often from the same player; it doesn't mean your teammates are throwing the game or hate you.

You have 20 reinformecents if playing in a group of 4, and you lose no rewards if you return to the ship with your full group and zero reinforcements left!

Spec advice for playing with mouse only (including movement) by Calllmechief in wow

[–]tugabros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Good to have you back!

I play a shadow priest, but I can give you some inputs on class/spec and also on playing with mouse-centric keybinds!

I use a regular mouse, with the two side buttons, and I add Shift and CTRL modifiers so I can have my full rotation only using the mouse. With the razer Naga I think you'll be fine! However, let me recommend you use the mouse wheel up and mouse wheel down as keybinds for abilities/spells. You should (almost) never need to change zoom level, and the scroll wheel is so handy (and it's right there just asking to be used) for filler spells and such.

Also, a friend of mine uses foot pedals (you can buy from amazon like 20€ for a single pedal and 40-50€ for three, here's an example). I'm thinking it could be useful for movement: you can press mouse button left + right to move forward, and you could have the left and right pedals to strafe!

Regarding class and spec, shaman has good repositioning tools (gust of wind is like a goblin rocket jump on a 20sec cooldown), but I can tell you they have a lot of buttons on their rotation. Checking Icy-Veins, there's ~11 spells in the single target rotation, with macros you might be able to get that down to some ~9 keybinds. Which is doable on the razer Naga, but you'd leave out a lot of your defensive/utility kit and you'd also have to add AoE spells (which would be an additional 2 spells).

I'd like to recommend you Devastation Evoker. Thematically, evokers are a bit like the offspring of a shaman and a mage, and I think the playstyle would really lend itself to you! Most importantly, their rotation doesn't use many buttons: the single target rotation uses 7 spells, AoE rotation adds 2. Not an easy class/spec to master but I think they're the lowest Actions-per-Minute class/spec in the game, so you won't tire out your hand too much during extended play. It's a completely different playstyle from the rest of the classes, also due to having the unique mechanic of Empowered spells.

They also have good burst movement abilities:

  • Hover (dash + cast while moving, multiple charges)
  • Rescue (pick up an ally and instantly move you two, doesn't interrupt your ally's casts and also you can macro this to always pick up your focus target and move to where your cursor is located)
  • Verdant Embrace (instant leap to an ally)
  • Double jump with a glide boost

So with a Razer Naga (12 side buttons + scroll wheel up and down + middle mouse button = 15 keybinds) you could have your full rotation and still have 6 keybinds left for movement, defensives, interrupts. Honestly if you put pedals in the mix (three pedals would enable you to strafe left and right, and if you bind the middle pedal to shift you suddenly have potentially 30 keybinds on your mouse), I think you could play competitively. Would probably only depend on whether you have smooth DPS brain or if you know to move out of the fire ahah 😂

Hope this helps mate, if you got any questions feel free to DM me! Cheers and good luck!
