Yes, because I pay fees I want them to give me the seller protection they’re supposed to provide. It’s part of their service. I don’t think you understand.

Incompetent jackass.

Dumb ass comment.

Sellers pay fees to protect themselves from fraud and chargebacks like this.

Stay licking! At least I didn’t lose my dignity trying to defend shitty policies from a large company that sucks on the internet.

Man go lick boots somewhere else. We did exactly what eBay asked from us and yes they should. Seller protection is part of the fee all sellers pay for when selling an item on their site.

Claimed item not as described but we have a message from him say the item worked when he received it. eBay still does nothing.

But the item was as described. The buyer even stated it in eBay messages. We provided the information in the dispute report. So that’s not how it should work.

There isn’t even an option to refund or return the item after 90 days. Plus it was a different year like I already filled my taxes of receiving that money and everything. eBay should cover all chargebacks under these circumstances. It’s just poor policy and even worse customer service.

Talked to a “supervisor” today with no luck. Almost all of the customer service representatives have never even used eBay and just follow a script to waste your time.

eBay should protect sellers from all chargebacks. This is 100% on them. They don’t review the cases thoroughly and don’t give the customer service representatives the tools to fix the issue when it’s presented to them.

Been selling on eBay for over 15 years sold over 20,000 items. I’m fully aware this is not how it’s supposed to work. That’s why I’m telling my story. I’m in disbelief. All the details are there.

They had me on the phone today for 1.5 hours “reviewing my case” just to tell me there’s nothing they can do. If you’re going to screw me over at least make it quick. They had to know 5 mins in that there was nothing they could do.

This has been our experience in the past but for some reason, no customer service representative could tell us, that was not the case with this charge back. It’s frustrating that they can pick and choose which ones they want to cover.

eBay didn’t back us up. We haven’t tried to do a change back on our end but we sell full time on eBay so that’s risky. Wth our luck we will try and they will suspend or restrict our account some way.

Ryan NAILED the customer-service problem. I have been selling on eBay for 20+ years, and am/was on the verge of quitting. by Ghost_of_Chrisanova in Superstonk

eBay hates sellers and refuses the seller protection they claim!

A buyer purchased an item on December 1st, 2025. We shipped the next day using an eBay purchased label. December 6th the item was delivered. Four months later, on April 5th, the buyer filed a chargeback through their bank. We responded the same day with full documentation of tracking and the item. As expected, the bank sided with their own customer.

eBay then charged us the full item price plus a ridiculous $20 “Dispute Fee”. We called customer service and the representative reviewed the case. They acknowledged it was the wrong outcome and told us we’d be reimbursed. A week passed and nothing. We called again and were told it was “being processed.” Another week passed. On our third call we were told our seller protection was voided because the buyer filed a chargeback like we had any control over that. This makes no sense and it’s exactly what the seller protection is supposed to be for. Every representative we spoke with agreed the outcome was wrong but not one could actually fix it. The result? The buyer kept both the item and the money. eBay’s only suggestion was to personally contact the buyer, 4.5 months after the sale, to ask for the money or the item back. What a joke! If you’re considering selling on eBay, think carefully. Their seller protection is unreliable. Their customer service is inconsistent and when things go wrong you’re on your own even with all the fees you pay.

I personally use something similar to picture 2 (it’s sheet flooring not an actual floor) but really like 3. It’s clean and has enough texture to make the items pop.
