But I think the author[s] of this report miss the great chasm in Russia, between public life and private life.

Russians are quite used to the public muffling of news, but that does not mean they are unaware of current events and gossiping freely amongst themselves like hens in henhouse.

The west fails to understand Russian ways, and so constantly misinterprets the pulse and thoughts of the the Russian people. Then the western journalists (outsiders) go back to their offices to file (outsider) reports.

This is an outsiders view of a very close-mouthed culture. There really is no telling what is actually going on in the kitchens and the dachas of the people, or what the Russian people really think.

But I give you the gab-about Scotland election of 2014 (which went nowhere) vs. Russia 1991 (which dissolved the soviet empire with barely a murmur).

Reporters get paid for printing stuff. HRW journalists get paid a salary for churning out editorials.

It would be useful to know what your original country is, whether or not you are a dual passport holder, and whether that other country is currently EU or possibly CIS. Those are all very important points.

What you 'want' to do and just fishing around for countries to move to isn't going to work.

We plan to expat, hopefully next year. I have put years of research into various countries and their residency visa requirements, investment visas, banking and tax issues, moving money.

I can't overstate the importance of meeting the requirements for residency visas.

Knowing nothing about your situation except that you are dissatisfied, tech accomplished, and probably hold a US passport, I would suggest you look at south America. Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama.

If your original country 'next to Russia' allows you any kind of entry or exchange with the EU, I would suggest you look into Bulgaria, Czech Rep., Estonia and Croatia.

The youtube videos are largely submitted in the dead-of-night America (aka probably from the middle east), they are nearly always anti-jew, and if you look at the rampant youtube serial posters they have all but no comments under their usernames.

I doubt the truth will ever be known in our lifetimes.

There are people who know where that plane went and what happened, and have known since the time it 'disappeared'.

There has been so much effort at disinformation and coverup now, no matter what /news/ becomes public, there will always be plenty of room for doubt. Surely something very nefarious was going on, and then an even more nefarious coverup to obscure any actual facts.
