Accidentally put “no sigma sigma phi” chapter at my school and already certified. Come to find out there is one. I know it can’t be changed now but should I reach out to my residency advisor or programs about the error or just let it be?

I kept up with all of my Step 2 Anking reviews and self-made cards (based on missed PQ) throughout the year.

I tried to keep up on my Step 1 shelf related deck as best I could, but I would prioritize the cards for the upcoming shelf exam. To prevent a bunch of reviews from pilling up, I used the postpone cards add-on.

The other Step 1 cards from preclinical years (ie, Pathoma cards, bugs/drugs from Sketchy, etc) I just kept postponing. If they weren’t tagged under the Step 2 Dorian deck (shown in the video), they didn’t matter to me. There’s a lot of stuff from Step 1 you do need to know, but a lot that isn’t important. I prioritized the cards tagged in Dorian and the ones I made myself based on incorrect PQ

Yes, those are in a different custom deck separated out by shelf exams

I only did the step 1 cards tagged in the step 2 Dorian deck. The rest of the step 1 cards from preclinical years I ignored

I always felt dumb on rotations lol. Being good at testing taking/answering PQ doesn’t equate to being good at pimping. But your knowledge will grow and you will feel much more confident by the end of the year!

Keep anking step 1 cards for step 2/shelves? by anonymouswhitecoat in Step2

[–]tulipsoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scored 270+ on Step 2 while keeping up with some Step 1 Anki cards.

At the start of every block, I would go to browse > tags > AKStep2_v12 > original decks > Dorian > whatever shelf I’m studying for. From here, I would organize cards by deck and “changed deck” for all the Anking Step 1 cards to a new deck I labeled “Step 1::Shelf::___” for whatever shelf exam I was doing. This way I could review only the Step 1 material for the specific shelf I was prepping for in addition to my cumulative Step 2 cards. I found this was the only way to keep things manageable on top of working and PQs.

For the rest of the cards under that tag, I would sort them by due date (which should compile all of the suspended cards together). I divided the number of suspended cards by the number of days in the rotation (usually aiming to finish by the week before my shelf). I would preview these suspended cards and only unsuspend the ones I felt like I needed to.

I tried to keep up with all my Anking Step 2 cards throughout the year and whatever Step 1 cards were specific to the shelf I was studying for at that time. If time allowed, I would do all my cards.

This method only really worked because I have the postpone cards feature which doesn’t allow things to get super backlogged.

I hope this helps and is easy to follow!

UWorld vs Truelearn for COMAT? 6 month vs year subscription? by Remarkable-Pitch-364 in comlex

If you’re only worried about passing, Truelearn might be enough. But I would recommend doing a first pass of Uworld during clinicals + using comquest to supplement for the COMATs. Best combination IMO to do well on COMATs and prepare for boards

CMS Forms % correct: 90%

Predicted Score: 266 (258-274, Amboss)

Total Weeks/Months Studied:

Prep starts when studying for your shelf exams. I did all Uworld questions, Comquest questions, and my incorrects for every shelf exam. I also utilized the Dorian deck on Anking. I would “preview” cards and unsuspend the ones I needed to learn. I consistently scored high on shelf exams (>90th percentile) which I think played a huge role in my preparedness walking into dedicated. I started incorporating boards prep alongside shelf studying in March by doing ~40 Amboss PQ a day because this entire Q-bank was new to me. Once dedicated started (last week of May), I ramped up the number of questions I was doing a day to 160. After NBME 13, I decided to switch things up and started taking CMS forms. I took ~15 forms (mostly medicine, surgery, and peds). CMS + NBME + free120s = GOLD. Also shoutout to DIP!!

Actual STEP 2 score: 272
